The more different item categories and items exist, the harder it gets finding them in the unsorted category list and item list in the Merchant and Storage windows (e.g. "Food" in the first half, "Food Ingredients" in the second).

Please send or show the lists sorted alphabetically (I believe an "ORDER BY" in an SQL statement would be the trivial solution).

And possibly rename similar categories so that alphabetical sorting groups them -- the "Weapons -" prefix is a good example.

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Fixed. Alphabetical sorting's ok. Open a new 'Feature Request' entry for things like quality sorting etc. if need be.

Agreed. Especially in the storage screen. I have spent some time finding what I was looking for. ;-)

FR - marking new.
set priority to low as it's not that critical atm as we don't have as many item categories

Has my vote.

If you would make one item category for all swords in analogy to axes, there would also be less to sort.

Knives and daggers can be also merged together

weapons in storage are harmless compared to raw materials where you have to spend 2-5 minutes looking for that bronze stock with 180q ... cos all stocks plus some ingots look exactly the same and the order is purely random.

Good point. Perhaps quality of the items could be listed as well.

right click on them

Comment by Franta (-stf-) - Friday, 06 August 2010, 09:32 UTC-4:00

Right clicking doesn't work in storage - you must click them and then click eye icon in the storage window. I vote for alphabetical sorting (excluding quality i.e. Extraordinary from the sort, only base name of the item i.e. Bronze Stock) and additionally sorting by price (reflects quality), which should make the storage/sell/buy window much less difficult to use

unfortunately excluding the prefix doesn't work - it can only be sorted based on name
