Some flaws I noticed:
1) After you made 1 Set of Steel Rings, you can't improve their Q as you can't re-heat or hammer them again. Nor turn 'em back into something usefull like ingots.

2) You can't heat up stacked helm parts e.g. 'Steel Cheekplate' or 'Helm Neck Wrap'. It has to be done one by one. Which is an annoyance.

3) After heating any of the parts, it stops at the state 'heated' unlike all other weapon parts which can be heated up to 'red hot'. Hammering the heated parts will turn 'em back into ingots, which is the next annoyance as it slows the the crafting process down even more.

4) After finishing the 'steel plate helm kit', all you can do is pray. Pray that the next two steps will not totaly screw up the final result. As you can't improve anything beyond that stage anymore.

same as 1) happens with Set of Steel Plates. Once you made them there's no way back.

I can confirm all of these, plus the Spangen, Spangenhelm, and Full Spangenhelms of both steel and bronze don't list their armor type. They can all be equipped by someone without the strength to wear Heavy Armor, but then so can the Battle Helm.

The Full Spangenhelm should be medium armor, but the lesser ones should be light armor, like the Holy Helmet.

The Full Spangenhelm should look like a Holy Helmet except darker gray, since it is of steel, not bronze.

Originally, we planned to make steel plates and steel rings to be useful in all types of armor, and that they would have a value all their own, and would presumably be worth more than the component metal. I'm not yet sure where that stands. Perhaps it would make sense to be able to melt them down in the furnace to get the ingots back. At times, I have felt that all weapons, armor, and shields should be meltable to their components, by someone with sufficient skill.

They've added the armor type, so that bug is fixed. Currently the Spangen and Spangenhelm are medium, and the full spangenhelm and holy helmet are heavy armor. The Horned Helm has also been changed to heavy armor. It maes sense, but until we get leather helm parts and the ability to make chain and scale cloth we're a little short of light and medium helms.
