Posting this here in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

I ran into a problem recently where PS started crashing during launch.  LIBGL was producing and error about not being able to load swrast.  This occurred immediately after my Linux distribution (Mageia) pushed out several updates to various GL-related packages.  I install the NVIDIA driver from their web site (instead of the Mageia package) and it compiles against the current kernel during installation.  Apparently, it was still looking for the old GL packages and that was causing the crash.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver made it compile with the new GL packages and everything works again.

Complaint Department / Casting spells wipes out mental stamina

I've been trying to train up my blue way stat by using freeze on rats in Ojaveda.  Usually, these spells were taking about 25 m.stamina points per cast.  Yesterday, after 20-25 spells, they were taking 250 points.  Today, it was over 400!  I was casting at 0% power.  Boosting to 100% used the same amount of m.stamina.  Once this happens, any spell I cast uses the same energy. (I only have a few realm 1 spells).  My stats:  AGI-25, CHA-80, END-60, INT-110, STR-50, Will-85, Blue Way-16.

I tried with another character and was able to get from level 6 to level 9 in azure using defensive wind without a problem.  I also did some rat hunting with freeze and cast about 25 spells with no problem.

Server Status / Ezpcusa crashes

Any info on why the Ezpcusa server seems to be crashing rather regularly?  I'm getting maybe 15-20 minutes before I get a message that the server is down and to try again in 5 minutes.  This has been going on all weekend.  I'm running client 0.5.4.

Linux Specific Issues / pslaunch.bin: No such file or directory

I just downloaded 0.5.4 for 64 bit Linux. I keep getting the following error when I try to launch pslaunch.

./pslaunch: line 5: /opt/PlaneShift/pslaunch.bin: No such file or directory
./pslaunch: line 5: /opt/PlaneShift/pslaunch.bin: Success
psclient produces the same results.

It doesn't matter what command line options I pass.  I've tried installing as root (system wide and not) and as user.  I've tried tweaking file permissions.

Running on Mandriva 2010.0 64-bit, BFG 6800 OC with nvidia proprietary drivers.
