Another Problem with Character Creation
« on: June 12, 2002, 06:34:24 am »
OK. I have seen many topics similar to this, but none exactly like mine. First of all, i am running a celeron 633 with 256 ram ATI Radeon 32mb graphics card, and a cable connection. When I finally got the game to start up, I went straight to the character creation screen. I decided my gender and race, went to the next screen decided to be a knight. now here is the problem. after choosing a password, and typing in the address xxx.xxx.xxx.xx (i forget the actual one right now) i clicked on the upload button. it said that i was dropped from the server. i reinstalled the game, restarted and tryed again. this time, the upload button showed no evidence of being pressed (glowing) and the game stopped responding. it won\'t respond to anything except ctrl+alt+dlt. i was really looking forward to the game, and hopefully someone has some helpful words of advice.

ok, when creating your character, in the box that says server, we type \"203.109.172.22\" correct? and after re-downloading and re-installing, after the server drops me once, i can never even attempt to connect again. i really need some help...

If the server drops you or fails to connect, you will need to quit the game and restart before you attempt again.  We have some problems with that part of the code.

I restart the game at least 10 times each attempt before giving up hope. I have uninstalled/reinstalled 3 times, and have re-downloaded twice. i really just wish i knew what was wrong so i could rest easy.....
