felicitation and character creation problem

Thanks Minks, now I have see the board of the creation of a character. Unfortunately, I've got a crash, here the error message :

Huh, where did your other thread go?
Anyway, my answer before was just a lucky guess.
Without further information, most likely nobody can help you. 

- what is your operating system?
- What ist your hardware (most important: graphics card)
- Which version of PS did you install?
- Did you really install the game on a usb key?
- When exactly did the crash occur? (Sounds like it was in the char creation screen.)
- Did you try again? Does the game always crash at the same point?
- Did you search the forum for other crashes in char creation an tried the solutions there?

To answer at your questions :
1) my operating system : windows xp version 2002 service pack 2
2) my graphics card : ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series
3) Pslauch and psclient 0.6.1.0
4) I really installed the game on a usb key and, when I've full completed the game, I shall transfer it in the computer
5) After the screen Planeshift Azure Spirit, a second screen appears with a mage and a creature. I've clicked on repair and found the error message.
6) I've tried again and I've ridden PLaneshift has quit unexpectdely. At my last try I've send a message to the Planeshift developpers !
7) I recome to the forum to repair and finish to resolve this problem !

I'm quite puzzled:where is gone the fisrt thread?!? 
Anyway, the real problem imho is that you are trying to install PS on an USB stick. Install it as usual in c:\program files\... and then let us know.
If you want a sort of "portable PS" you need to install the game on every systems you want to use and then specify a "cloud folder" as a user config path.
I'm using PS with Dropbox in this way and it works as a charm!
If you find interesting this solution let me know, I'll post more specific instructions.

Hello Jawir, I've shift the Planeshift file from the usb key to the c:\programs file of the PC. The crash is still on, the only advantage which I 've won is that the load time is a bit shorter. Your idea are good same if she haven't resolve the probl

Moving the Planeshift directory from the USB stick to c:\program files\... isn't enough: you need to reinstall Planeshift leaving the default path as it is suggested by the installer (i.e. double click on  PlaneShift-v0.6.1.exe and don't modify any suggested option).
Once that is done, let us know!

presentation page is more faster than before : that's better !!
Same problem to create the character : It's annoying !?
discover the icons run planeshift to the ordinator desk : great !!!
But It's still blocked to create my avatar, have you another ideas ?

Perhaps I've choice a definition of the screen too important, I'm going to the settle page to modify it.
Other question, my pslauncher have the version 3.06, is it the more recent version ? Must I change it ? For the psclient, that's perfect (version 0.6.1)

The French mirror  which download the game have a problem, I must choice the german mirrors (they are two) or the american one. If I do it, must I rebegin the account, the register...?

My problem is more precise, it's about the Planeshift updater, that's not the french mirror of downloading game, the german one as the same problem : I havent any updater. Then, when I can find it, in which forum ?

To run the installer as administrator right click and chose "Run as administrator"

The PlaneShift launcher (pslaunch.exe) is also the updater; it checks for available updates each time you start it.
