[It is, on winter. Remember we're still in DST. On an unrelated note...]

*addendum to the main notice*

Looking for a musician or group of musicians to play different ballroom pieces. Must know at least one waltz. Paying handsomely.

Kaerli leaves a message pinned to Jocas' desk with one of his old heirloom daggers "Expect me there.  Signed, Kaerli."

* Eymma smiles upon reading the announcement of a ball.
Oh, I would love to go to the ball. Now I will need to think of a nice costume....

* Eymma takes out a piece of paper and writes:

Dear Lord DeFaye,
I will be very happy to attend your Masquerade Ball.
Yours Sincerely,
Eymma Forretta

The Ball Was a huge success. Many people turned out in an array of costumes.

And Lord De Faye made a grand annoucement... this being only part of it... ;D

Because this DropBox "image" link is not suitable to be used as IMG tag, here a clickable link.

P.S.: I only get an error message. Linking images on DropBox seems to be more complicated...

Browser issues. It displays fine in chrome but not in IE or in Firefox. And yes, linking from dropbox is difficult but imageshack is a pay service now. :/ Should be viewable now... This is why you keep more browsers than the one you use just in case. -_-

Jocas DeFaye would like to thank the following attendees:

  • Lady Drifter (Eymma)
  • Lady Fire Carkarass (Licina)
  • Lady Zandral, even though he never actually met her and can't recall what her costume was
  • Sir Haruan, who had a costume so good, Lord DeFaye couldn't tell who it was.
  • Sir Storage (Glorgal)
  • A certain winged Addleplated Kormi (Gova)
  • Sir Coal Lump (Gonger)
  • Gemma Trepor (Azeron)
  • Lady Derghir (Kaerli), to whom Jocas expressed his concern about stealing an actual Derghir's face
  • One certain Dark Way mage who managed to have a stunning disguise using the least resources
  • And last but not least, he representatives of The Way of the Hammer: Keeper Rheos, Sjesdr Lumi, and Elder Eriz

A special thanks goes to Miss Lorra Mukern for spicing up the evening with her music, and to Sir Grindulf Sanadin, for writing the lovely pieces that were played.

The night occurred without conflict: despite the initial disappointment at not having Kran delicacies and drinks, Lady Fire Carkarass saved the night for our dearest Gemma Trepor, by providing with some snacks and ales.

Afterwards, Lord Jocas DeFaye, wearing his ferocious Kore costume, invited Lady Drifter, who would be Miss Eymma Forretta, to open the ball with the first dance of the night, to the sound of one of Grindulf's bransles. The guests were delighted at the display, and went on to listen to Lord DeFaye's speech, in which he made his thanks known, as well as a small plea, explaining the goal of the House. Then, he went on to show the House to whomever was interested.

The night went on, and the cider, liquor, and beer flowed free, with more music and dances, until the guests proclaimed being tired or having to leave to tend their duties. Lord DeFaye relaxed with the remaining guests, talking about other topics, such as politics and safety in the Dome.

As the night came to an end, the House finally emptied, and Jocas went to bed with a warm heart and a smile in his lips, thinking the party a success, and wishes to again invite everyone for the special dinner he will organize for Xiosiamas' Eve.

@ Illysia:

Your previous link (which I repeated) gave me a 403 error (possibly because I have no account to log in to); your edited one gives me a 404. Neither give me access to a viewable image or album, at least not without registering for a DropBox account.

http://frupic.frubar.net is a lot more cooperative.

Waesed waited too patiently in the Amdeneir Tavern and fell asleep waiting for the Ball! (RL sucks, check my MyPlane for my costume.)
