Report of activities off-duty
By my braided beard, when I said the best days off are the eventful ones, I wasn't thinking of that!
Captain Reniye Sein invited me to a picnic to discuss the recent affair we've been thrown into in the last couple of months. The mad mage Triud Quinm, the Kor Neka Mansa affair,
we can't tell we've been twiddling our thumbs lately. Discussing such matters during a picnic, in the fresh air is the best way to come up with a plan, she said.
Aye, that's right, of course it is. Unless the dark forces of the Stone Labyrinth choose that day to pour out and menace our fair city!
As I was starting a delicious seared trout I fished and prepared myself, we had the visit of a contingent of the Way of the Hammers guild that we invited to relax with us.
After some small appetizers, couple of beers, their leader Rheos informed us that they fought a giant beast out there in the wild.
It coincided with the tell of a peasant I had met earlier, which forced me to believe that a serious treat was weighing up on Hydlaa and its citizens.
With no time to spare, my military instinct arising that we gathered a large crowd of brave and concerned citizens and ringed the bell of war.
A dozen of us rushed toward the Stone city were the beast was last seen.
Sir Thedrish Urthadar of the Lost Knigts, offered to scout the surrounding to track the creature and found it roaming in the valley around the lake near Gugrontid. It was what we, dwarves, call a "good warm-up".
Even with my 50 years in the Octarchal army, I've faced death a quantity of time. I suppose Dakkru has been happy enough with us and decided not to keep us down there.
With my Battle Hammer "KeenChaser", I've charged and charged the giant monster, supported by powerful mages, warriors and archers, determined to put an end to that menace.
Finally, after hours of suffering, death and despair, we managed to push the vile beast into the lake. There, harassed by our forces and surprisingly, by a small group of riverlings,
we brought down the terror and our screams of victory resounded until Gugrontid, ROOAAAAR!
Hydlaa was saved.
