Can we add agnostic.  My character believes in the gods but she is rather upset with two of them, so she distrusts all of them except one.  Therefore she chooses to place faith in none. Athiest by definition means you don't believe there is any higher being(s). My character definately knows they exist.

Most of my characters worship and fear all the gods, some equally, some not so equally.

I don't really know enough about the actual method of worship to really RP a devout follower of a certain deity, and there are plenty of each deity's devout worhippers around for me to need to add another one heh.

We already had the discussion about atheism ... denying the existence of gods - vs. - denying the existence of the unavoidable destiny.

What I can say about all my characters, is that they are often in a relation to gods and religions. No matter how much religious they are.

i've really got to think about how the gods factor into my character's life. mostly i've ignored them. though i wonder what a couple of my other ones would believe in.

Religion for so long has been the very backbone of many disputes and wars.
If only more characters would stick to one god adamantly and perhaps show
a little more religious intolerance :)

I think the "I respect and get along with all religions" attitude has the effect of
graying out  the texture and conflict that multiple gods/religions can give to
the setting. While it may be a more "enlightened" attitude it does nothing to
foster conflict.

Just my two cents
