Hi everyone. I managed to get back in the game recently, which is pretty cool. I'm interested to see what's happening.

Hm, trying the 32 bit version might be a good idea.

Well, this is frustrating. I just got the game to the point where it would at least let me play, but once I died and went to the Death Realm, the game started crashing immediately and won't let me do anything. I know it's specifically the Death Realm because when I start up an alt, even though it might still crash sometimes, with enough persistence I can get the game to play. But the Death Realm won't let me do anything.

It's good to know that there are still some familiar people around here. Again, I probably won't be playing a lot considering how crashy the game is (at least for me) but I'll try!

So, I finally managed to get the game more-or-less working on my current computer. (It still crashes a lot, but I can at least play before it does so). It's been a long time and I see some things have changed in the meantime. How are things?

;_; I'll definitely miss her. She did a lot to keep me interested in the game.

I'm on XP now- the computer place that replaced my hard drive downgraded me from Vista since XP is faster.

So recently my computer's hard drive broke and I had to get it replaced. The computer guy offered to move it down to XP from Vista since it's faster, and I said sure, why not. Then recently I thought, hey, the reason PS wouldn't work on my computer before was that the drivers didn't go forward enough and there weren't any Vista Omega Drivers. So I wondered if there were some for XP. And there were. So now PS is working on my computer and I can play again.

Awesome.

Now I need to work out what's changed since I was here last...

So the last version didn't work on this computer. Naturally the new one doesn't either.

Just to review, I have a fairly old laptop, its graphics are ATI Mobility Radeon X1600. It's old enough for the drivers for it to be part of the "legacy" driver set and Omega Drivers don't have anything for it. And the game's crashing on the loading screen after saying it needs hardware acceleration (Open GL). Is there a software solution for this or am I out of luck with this computer? (The game does work on another computer in my house but I don't usually have access to that one.)

I have the newest drivers I could find. Thus I figure my computer just can't handle the awesomeness of the latest version of the game.

12
I miss myself. Sadly the current version of the game seems to be too much for my computer to handle, and I'd kind of been losing interest anyway.

13
I did that. The launcher still crashes immediately before it has a chance to do anything.

The same thing's happening to me... I'm almost ready to just give up on PlaneShift entirely but... I just want to see what the new version is like...

15
Hmm... Well, the most recent thing I tried was installing new graphics drivers, and now the launcher won't work... I can't find the console (I'm on Vista and I'm told it doesn't have one.)
