Bronze Doors laagy and black

Hello, I need help

Since the new version, the Bronze Doors is ahorrible cathastrophy. I need more then an hour for going to my trainers and come out. Every two steps it stops. Many Parts are black. In this time I MUST go always to bronze Doors because there I have my npc who gives me training in CW.

I have a Mac G4 PPC with 1GHZ processing, 2GB of RAM and a ATI Radeon 9600 PRO 256MB Graphiccard.

If someone could help me, please write in easy english. Iam german

its laggy for everyone i would say  ::)

try to add -fullbright at your shortcut target:

You could try to relight the map, go to the bdroad2/bdoors mapchanger, then shut down the client and restart it from a console with the -relight option. Arerano mentioned that it not only helps with the blackness, but also with the lag

Beware: relighting BD takes AGES. Alternatively you could ask Arerano if he can give you his re-lit map.

German: Versuch mal to map zu relighten, geh zum mapchanger zwischen bdroad2/bdoors, beende planeshift und starte es von 'ner console mit der -relight option. Arerano meinte, dass es nicht nur mit bei dem schwarz hilft, sondern auch beim lag

Achtung: das ganze dauert ewig! alternativ koenntest du arerano auch fragen, ob er dir seine map gibt

(gosh, i hate translating :D even tho german is my native language :P)

as this was posted in the MAC forum the above will not work as there is no "shortcut" like that in mac

also you can turn down the viewing distance in options [press "o" ]

There is only an occasional patch of blackness, no hindrance at all...

Well you are lucky cause using the new map didn't change anything for me. The game still freezes every minute. No problem of blackness though but still quite troublesome... Any other ideas?

Wait till the next release, There is a new bd map to be released then it might help with some of those issues

Oh, okay. I don't have the time to play that much anyway so I guess I'll just wait for that release, and hope that'll fix the problem.

Well, if you do get time to play, there is still oceans of places to go, I only had to go to the BD area because of a quest.
Just avoid the BD area until the next update, which will improve things a lottm  ::)

Wish I could, but I'm actually already there, so I'm somehow stuck until the next release. Unless I find some spare time in my schedule and ask kindly the GMs to move my location.

you can make a new char /petition a gm to move that one to another map.

It details the installation of a simple Java program that allows you to run PS with your desired arguments (it's towards the bottom of the post). Just follow the instructions and use

-fullbright as your option, and that ought to fix it for your current char -- my re-lit BD map looks great, but without this it still lags incredibly.

Thanks for the help. I already knew that Java thing with -fullbright but I decided to wait for the update, and that worked. Well, still have textures problems -and that's not the right thread to say that anyway- but no lag or freeze anymore, so that suits me.

fullbright and the new bd map will NO LONGER work.
