Did anyone end up finding a fix to this problem?  My boyfriend and I are both having the same problem.  I am on a macbook pro, and he is running windows xp.  Can someone try and solve this?

I don't have a solution. I can only confirm that the graphic card is not the problem. I'm on the infamous Intel GMA 950 (on a Mac) and everything is perfectly alright with standard settings.

You will definitely need a completely OpenGL 2.0 compatible graphic driver. That may mean not to rely on drivers shipped with the OS, but to install some from the chipset manufacturer.
