Updater source code availability?
« on: April 08, 2010, 03:27:57 pm »

I have been asked to provide an updater for a mod to a game that is close in the alphabet to Planeshift, named Paraworld SEAMOD/CEP.

I was thinking of your updater immediately, especially the repair functionality that comes with it.

It would be even better if it could do P2P, by the way ;-)

Is it possible to acquire the source for the updater and the update server, for example under GPL license?

And who knows maybe Planeshift can benefit from improvements I make.

Of course, PlaneShift's source code is fully GPL. The art and the settings (story, lore, quests, etc) are proprietary.

We're not evil. We're simply amazing.
