The irc channel of the german planeshift fan community moved from #psde on irc.xchannel.org to #psde on chat.freenode.net (similar to irc.freenode.net)
Thus:

Server: chat.freenode.net
Channel: #psde

Hello

Some logos on the page http://www.planeshift.it/guilds.php don't and can't work.
The reason seems to be, that the page automatically looks for the file /logo.jpg and some guilds don't have the possibility to have that file there.

The german planeshift-community therefore created the possibility to host that logo.jpg. That means, there will be a logo available for http://www.planeshift.it/guilds.php and the link to the guild's webpage will work aswell.

How is it done?
1) The contact link for the guild's webpage on planeshift.it is e.g. http://myGuild.psde.de
2) The logo for the guild that is displayed on the planeshift's guilds.php-webpage gets displayed, because the logo will be on http://myGuild.psde.de/logo.jpg
3) All other requests to myGuild.psde.de will be automatically forwarded to the real web page, e.g. myGuild.myfreeforum.org.

( Working example will be http://fl.psde.de as soon as it is used as link on http://www.planeshift.it/guilds.php )

How can I request that service?

Is it just me or is the forum search not working anymore? (You are not allowed.....)
I was logged in of course (but I hope this works for anonymous, too) and was using a hopefully recent Firefox.

Hello

I wondered lately if an irc channel for advisors would be a senseful thing.
Currently often enough do people who seek for help only say things like "Help" in the help channel. Since the advisor will claim the whole session and can not return the actual question back to all, he might run into problems answering a question another advisor might have no problems to answer. A second case is when an advisor  even sees the initial suggestion but has an alternative one.

Of course would such an irc channel only work if the advisors really joined it. I guess a part of the question is then how many advisors are online, how many would possibly be in such a channel and if others see any use in this suggestion at all.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Graphic troubles OUTSIDE ps after playing

Hi,

Im having troubles with messed up graphics after playing ps (well, as topic says ;) ). Let me make a few short points on this issue:
- troubles started after playing ps 0400 version
- was (to my great disappointment) reproduceable on two machines!
- seems to be hardware issues

Both machines were laptops; one with ati graphic, one with nvidia. The nvidia one had to get the mainboard/graphics combo replaced, the other apparently should be replaced, but is too old :/
What makes me composing this topic is that it is certainly caused by ps (or crystalSpace, Im not making a difference here) and it affects the system outside ps.

Sorry for bad quality, but you should get the point.

Again, it happened on two different systems after playing ps!
There are other smaller issues like stripes on the screen depending on resolution/color depth mode.

I wonder if anyone else noticed something similar, maybe only the stripes?
If someone from ps or cs can have a look at it and even provide feedback it would be a good thing, too....

Complaint Department / Logging of all chat

Hello,

I hope Im not too fast with putting this into the complaint section, but it's a point that disturbs me.
If I, as non-programmer, understand it right, the chatmanager.cpp (ChatManager::HandleMessage) defines a logging for the ingame chat.
What I don't like is, that apparently everything what is said will be logged on server side, including contents of group and tell.
While I don't really see the point of logging chat in general, I especially oppose the logging of the channels that are meant to be private.

Is the logging of everything really necessary, or can it be turned off - at least for the non public channels?
I hope that this could be done, but if not we should think about mentioning, at some place where the players can see it, that everything that is said in game will be
held in a log file.

Any further information, for example about how long the logs will be held, would be welcome, too.
