I have downloaded the program and I cannot get it to do anything. a little box pops up that just says \"no mountable system file\"  plzz Help, I really want to play!

I have downloaded the program for mac and when I try yo open the file I get a litttle box that says \"no mountable system file.\" i\'m relatively new to mac so I\'m wondering, what am I doing wrong.   HELP!!!
