Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / "Failed to init app!"

I saw a topic on this a few days ago, but completely lost it.
Everytime I run Planeshift, It only opens a small black window that has white text and some red text that appears.
The red text reads: \"Failed to init app!\"
What in the hell does this mean!?
It really bothers me.
Please Help!
