"Failed to init app!"

I saw a topic on this a few days ago, but completely lost it.

Everytime I run Planeshift, It only opens a small black window that has white text and some red text that appears.
The red text reads: \"Failed to init app!\"

What in the hell does this mean!?
It really bothers me.
Please Help!

Sounds like something is messing up on start up. We will have to add some more logging there to get a better idea of why.  It is hard to guess why you are seeing this at the moment.
