"couldn't get client by num"
« on: August 21, 2005, 06:39:20 am »
Hi,

I\'m trying to run my on Planeshift server to test a few things.
The server is running, the world is loaded and the server status is set to \"ready\".
The \"status\" command gives this output:

Code: [Select]
PS Server: status
Server           : is running.
World            : loaded and running.
Connection Count : 0
EID   PID   Name                                CNum      Ready Time con.
  *** List Empty ***
PS Server:

But when i try to connect i get a message that the server is not running or not reachable and the server console says \"couldn\'t get client by num...\".
Both, server and client, were compiled with gcc 3.4.3 and a 2.6.12.3 kernel.
Any ideas how to solve this problem?

hehe...
the funny thing about my problem is, that the the server is already compiled in debug mode and i\'m still getting this error.

Hmmm... then I can not be more helpful. If You had post it to bugtracker, I would have this report closed with comment \"Works for me\" :P . I\'m afraid, that You have to wait for developers to answer.

Cheers

Are you 200% sure that you have compiled the server in debug mode? That problem has arised previously just when it was compiled in release mode.

If you are 500% sure, then it is rather odd, I suggest you to try to contact Khaki on the irc channels of PS, if not, try to compile again checking carefully that you have compiled in debug mode.
