[Linux] planeshift-updater -auto segfaults on fresh install
« on: November 01, 2005, 04:45:10 am »
This is what I get (both under root and under a regular user account):
Code: [Select]
$ planeshift-updater -auto
Warning, can\'t find paths for win or mac or linux updater application! (Server only)
Critical files () not found (Server only)
NOTIFY: psUpdaterEngine initialized.
Downloading registry...
0%....25%....50%....75%....100% (120 KB/s)
Loaded registry
Your updater version is older than the server\'s..
Updating halted
/usr/games/bin/planeshift-updater: line 15:  9892 Segmentation fault      ./updater $@

Any ideas what\'s wrong?

TIA

Hi Ticho,
A couple of questions where did you download the PS installer from or did you compile from source?

If the installer came from planeshift.it it is the old version grab the new one from here by the way the elite have our own section of the forum at the bottom :)

If you compiled from source, did you get it from a package or from the CVS branch tag REL_3_012?  (only CVS version that\'s compatible with Laanx, at the moment)
