Andrew Gower has much more experience than Rizin in these things. PlaneShift should be a game that attracts everyone, especially those that like hack&slash.

It is so sad that people question the ability of Mr. Gower, besides, the decision has already been taken. So you either live with it or leave.
Edit:
The latest news is that the former minimum age for an application as a develloper is now the maximum age, as the majority of players is younger than 18 years.

End of a Chapter in PlaneShift

Somewhere, Cyberspace - April 1 in most place is considered to be a day of humor, foolery and jokes, but whether or not the resignation of Xillix, the leader of the Settings development team, is a joke has yet to be decided.

In an announcement that shook the online community of the MMO Planeshift, he stated personal and professional reasons for leaving his post, but has yet to name a successor.

Following the leader's footsteps is the famed settings writer, Underthemoon, who also announced his resignation a mere seven minutes after Xillix. The community has now lost two great writers...

If we had a newspaper, that would be front page news. Although the talents of Xillix and Underthemoon will be sorely missed on the development team, the forum and IRC, not to mention UtM's multiple characters that have a knack of dying, this doesn't mean that the end of the world is nigh (sorry guys, but it's true).

To both of you, Xillix and Underthemoon, I wish you well on your future endeavors, whatever they may be, and I hope that you will grace us with your presence in the future, but after a reasonable amount of absence. In otherwords, come back, but not too soon.

...does the no hugging rule extend to your successor, xillix?

Sad :-/

You will both be sorely missed.

Looks like XIllix made a point to post on the day before April 1. Thus I grok: not a joke.

Come on Jekkar, Peragro doesn't even have an April Fools' joke

No. That's cause it's a joke every day of the year.  ;D

That said, settings won't be the same without Xillix. As for UtM, good writer or no he was still just a prospect, and I've seen plenty of prospects come and go and come back and such.

Jekkar, quick! Grab that duct tape! We'll kidnap them to PT ... oh and we can take Jeraphon too, just to dump him somewhere alongside the road before his poor humor spreads to the Planeshift NPCs. :P

I thought it WAS the joke :P

in all seriousness many ex ps mods go to peragro, however I wasn't aware the devs did.

Dang... Xillix Queen of Fools resigning on April's Fool day... What a conundrum. But I'd rather be a fool than disregarding to someone who has worked so hard to push this game forward in so many ways. I hope this does not mean you and UtM will not be around anymore.

And if it was a joke... well, I prefer wipe threads instead.
