The aestivale festival had plenty of comestibles, plump tubers grown by Gruebers, fat carrots produced by Barrets, succulent kikiri raised by Chikieri, among other things.
Among other things, there was an oratorical competition where the winning speech artfully utilized anadiplosis. Anadiplosis, of course, is the rhetorical repetition of an ending of a sentence, clause or phrase, emphasized at the beginning of the next. At the beginning of the next aestivale festival we expect to see more produce, farm goods and competition. We hope to have a late summer fair every year until the crystal falls from the sky!
