                     The Fourth Annual Planeshift Community Awards


A sadly forgotten Planeshift tradition, The Annual Planeshift Community Awards have returned! A good-natured and well-meaning contest for the community of Planeshift, it will be held for all members to participate. Please follow the rules and have fun!

Rules

The Awards have two rounds. First is the Nominations and following is the Voting round. No one who has been banned from Planeshift may become a nominee. You can nominate ONCE and vote ONCE. You may NOT nominate yourself but you may vote for yourself. If, obviously, you are a nominee within that category you are voting in. Try to fill up all the categories in both rounds. I'll accept the votes if you didn't fill them all up, however.

Please send your Nominations and Votes in an email to Beronden@hotmail.com or via message to bloodedIrishman.  Include your forum name with the e-mail. Simply cut & paste the list of Categories below and fill them in with one candidate per category.

Nominations begin August 8th and will not be taken past August 15th.

So do people not in game count? I can think of some people who just own certain categories whether they are in game or not.

As long as they are part of the Community (distantly or very active, it does not matter), they can be voted for. No ban-offenders.

Just FYI, there are three different bans for me on IRC, one on the forums and (IIRC, one ingame).

I see no category for best use of crayolas.

I trust you will revise this competition so it complies with logical standards.

The /must/ vote for each category just discouraged me from voting. I don't have a damn clue for some of them, and I'd assume many others might not either. For example the Best Artist category. Since I cannot vote for myself, the obvious winner, I have no clue about the current bunch of artists on the foram nor have I seen any of their work. So I'd just write the first name I see in the Fan Art section.

Meanwhile, Bob might give an actual vote for the category, based on the merits of the person.

But there are 10 me's to 1 Bob. Therefore the actual winner will get drowned out by people autofilling ballots because they have to.
