Can I suggest something simple?

all you need is 17 recorded notes, 8 blown, 8 strummed, and 1 beat.
An octave each, and a beat.

I'm not familiar with sound modification through programming but speeding up the notes or slowing them down should change their sound appropriately, would that work?

Samno stares into his mug, listening to the song.

He starts out a poem

Samno laughs heartily at Jaycols stories and calls for another drink.

He takes out a small book labeled "Stories Of The Lake"  and begins to read.

Thanks,  noticed it was almost two years old and I didn't really want to bring that specific thread back, no i did not base my idea on yours, they are just simmilar, with my system, the player would buy blank blueprint paper and edit the weapon there, name it, then he would create all the needed parts, and forge them together, this is sort of like WoW's system, I know, but it allows near full customization of weapons, optionally, these blueprints would only be available to high level smiths, and you would still use books while you are basic.

please tell me if this doesn't make sense.

-armor types to be edited (base, leather, chain-mail, plate)
-body parts to be edited (foot, head, arm, etc...)
-any jewelry or skin specific textures, such as rings necklaces or clothing designs.

Please don't tell me that I should be submitting my creations to the devs.
