Regarding the the Epoch Milestones, is there a specific date that pins it down?

For instance, what year was it at the beginning of the 5th Epoch?

I`m not sure that our characters would actually know about the Epochs from the game`s history page. The First Epoch itself only involves Talad, Laanx and Vodul...and since no one is to know about Vodul, I`d say we mortals know nothing of this Epoch.

Figuring out dates for the Epochs would help if we could nail down year zero...
Dates seem to be written [number]AY. I wonder what the AY means?
If Y is Yliakum then year zero is when life first came to Yliakum? i.e. the creation of the lemurs?
From Races of Yliakum in the library:
“The name of the land, 'Yliakum,' was derived from the only inscription found in the Stone Labyrinths that the colonists were able to translate.�
Who wrote it?
Laanx? One of the lemurs who followed him and founded Kadaikos?

I`m guessing that the year zero AY is either of:
a.   When the lemurs were first created.
b.   When the first colonists (if this means races who came to Yliakum as opposed to being created there) came to Yliakum and found the word written there.

The Epochs have not had actual dates assigned to them yet however the First Epoch ends around 0AY or just after. AY= After Yliakum and is when Talad and Laanx first arrived in Yliakum and changed it to the fertile environment we see today, bates before are expressed BY, Before Yliakum and today/now is currently OOCly frozen at 750AY

Players who gain certain factions under the new faction system will have access to greater details about history than the common citizen, until then, consider that much of the history has been suppressed by the Octarchy for reasons that are as yet unclear.

Each character will have been educated by the Octarchy on a range of common skills (language, mathematics, combat) however there are and will be secrets that various factions will have access to. Uncovering what exactly is the truth should, in time, be a part of the "game."

No we haven't, we have some of the lore in game and on the website already, it just automagically appears no one actually does any writing
