Mechanics wise I don't know how it could be possible to do. Maybe by changing the corpse to an item that you can carry ?

Is that you, Donari? This has been suggested before. Didn't work. Probably because everyone hated the Empire ˇ\_(ッ)_/ˇ

I know that this has been suggested, I just point out what we've already discussed.

And yeah. To fix the latter, you'll need to find someone else to do that.

We can try to create services, and a new player-made currency, ruled by players.
Add taxes to get regular services, add PVP, or add more RP jobs.

Reviving the economy might be as simple as stopping using trias.

In-Game Roleplay Events / [RP] From ashes

Two dead bodies were found in Hydlaa.
Both were burnt, and we have almost no clue of what have happened.

The investigation is going on.

;D Ask a politician what he really means!
^^
This

Nah more seriously  ;D

The current goal, since it often changed throughout the rulers, context etc... Is to unite everyone and help achieving peace in the Dome.
OOCly, it is, as always, creating good RPs.

Good luck in your enterprise Gaheris, and I hope this could generate some good RP in the future

Wish list / /do command
« on: February 18, 2016, 05:04:55 pm »
The /do command. This is a really useful command, in the same state as the /me command.

For the people not used to it, it's used to make a description of the environment, without playing your character, and can be used in a multitude of places, where it could be a simple /me, or an OOC /tell, or... Nothing.

Case 1 : Fight scene
A - /me tries to punch B in the face.
B - /do B takes the punch right in the nose. He's now lying on the ground, stunned.
    A - /me chuckles as B falls.
    A - /do Can A see the blade in B's belt ?
    B - /do A can't, it's hidden by his jacket.
Printed :
A tries to punch B in the face.
B takes the punch right in the nose, He's now lying on the ground, stunned. The fist of A is now bloody from the punch [ B ]
    A chuckles as B falls.
    Can A see the blade in B's belt ? [ A ]
    A can't it's hidden by his jacket. [ B ]
Usefulness in this scene :
First /do : There is not much usefulness here, but it allows for a more precise description of the scene.
Second /do : Allow for precise details and knowing the boundaries of your RP, while keeping it IC, and not coming into OOC.

Case 2 : NPC RP
     A - /me asks Allelia a beer.
     A - /do Allelia smiles and hands A a beer mug.
A - /me takes the mug, and hands it to B.
Printed :
     A asks Allelia a beer.
     A llelia smiles and hands A a beer mug. [ A ]
A takes the mug, and hands it to B.
Usefulness in this scene :
It allows for to describe the behaviour of NPCs, and can be done to a multitude of situations ! Your guildhouse has a guard, and you want to make a RP with him, but sadly, you can't have someone to RP it ? Fake it !

Case 3 : Environment description
A - /me looks around for any traces of infraction.
B - /do There are a few scratches on the tree. Maybe a sword has done that.
     A - /me inspects the scratch.
B - /do The scratch was done by a sabre. This can be seen by the orientation of the scratch ((I have no idea of what I'm writing.))
Printed :
A looks around for any traces of infraction.
There are a few scratches on the tree. Maybe a sword has done that. [ B ]
     A inspects the scratch.
The scratch was done by a sabre. This can be seen by the orientation of the scratch [ B ]
Usefulness in this scene :
There is currently no way to describe the environment without getting OOC, or using books. Books can be fun, but if you are in a spontaneous RP, you can't always prepare that with books, and OOC informations isn't immersive at all, and can't be see by other players.

Case 4 : Detail telling.
A - /me is lying on the operation table.
A - /do His arms have been ripped off, and you can see, upon closer inspection, a small shard of wood inside his torso.
B - /me doesn't notice the shard of wood and presses A's torso, pushing the shard inside him.
Printed :
A is lying on the operation table.
His arms have been ripped off, and you can see, upon closer inspection, a small shard of wood inside his torso.
B doesn't notice the shard of wood and presses A's torso, pushing the shard inside him.
Usefulness in this scene :
Could be replaced by a /me, but the /do allows much more precise descriptions and allows more interactivity.

Anyway, leave your opinion !

We shouldn't encourage Pacifist play.
You can play a pacifist char, but it's entirely possible for it to get attacked by an evil char for example.

By separating, I should have had written. Imagine a little checkbox "RPer". When you check it, your nickname is in another color. When you uncheck it, another.
And bang, new way to see who to ignore or not in RP scene.

Stop already to want evil RPs and charismatic antagonists. Currently, evil RP can only be played in small private groups.

I propose some solutions, do whatever you want with these. I precise, to not offend anyone, that I don't have the prentention to say that my solutions are the best and should be applied.

First : Strict RP rules. No more people whining "omg that's not in the rules, so we can't do that", no more "omg you're godmodding", and a clear separation between IC and OOC. And enforcement of RP by sanctions.
I don't want to have to say [Hey, I'm a rogue, and I'm going to steal some of your valuables. Don't worry, it will have the consequences you want to have, and no definitives ones, except if you want it. It will also don't take much of your time, I guarantee it. Thanks !] every time I want to rob someone.

What rules ? Well, not refusing a RP scene. If you avoid it OOCly, you get sanctionned. Some exceptions such as PG18 scenes, and true death scenes, of course.
Also, whining OOCly. If it stayed IC, and in the rules, you don't have to complain OOC.
If you're interested in some strict RP rules, I could write some more that could fix a lot of problems with the current RP I guess.

Second : Separate RPers and Non-RPers. I'm getting tired of saying "Hello" and the man just runs away after having talked to the NPC in front of me.

Third : Being able to hide its name. When you speak your name is translated to a "code", this code can be used by GMs to know your nickname, but only them can know it.
It would help keeping anonymacy and help against OOC ranting in scene.

Volki said it.

Sensitive people rule communities.

Sensitive people ruin communities.

Being sensitive is used as a defense for trampling on other people's creativity.

I think that if your character is going to try to rob another character, then just do it. It's not inconsiderate. You're playing a character. They're playing a character. In a game. By refusing to interact with your character who is trying to rob theirs, they are doing the absolute worst thing a roleplayer can do. It's even worse than godmoding because they are pretending that your character doesn't exist.

Why would you play this game if you don't want to interact with other players? It's an online game! Why would you play this game if you don't expect bad things to spontaneously happen to your character? It's a roleplaying game!

If you don't like it, then
