Anyone here know how something looks when it's steampunky...
I'm in the midst of making a trainstation on my minecraft server or rather redesigning an old one and i'd like to make it have a steampunk look cause of the fantasy feeling my server has.

Atm i've gotten so far that it looks victorian but that's about it and it's not done anyway but if anyone knows then please post.

Ok so i'm trying to figure out what i should do in this matter, i have 3 computers running 24/7 and i'd like to push together 2 of them to save power, the problem is they are rather old pc's.

1 is the webserver running yeah you know webserv stuff and a torrent server, the pc runs centos 5.x and cpu is just a pentium 3 @ 600mhz, 512mb ecc ram but funny enough it does what it should do with ease.

The other is the minecraft server, a pentium 4 hyperthreading cpu at 2.8GHz and running centos 6.x, 2.5Gb ram.

I'd like to maybe find a dual core system that's equal or beter in strengh, this would normaly be easy but there is that minecraft ONLY uses 1 CORE not any more.
So what i'm asking is, how much GHz do i need on a dual core to make these 2 pc's into 1, is it 2.8GHz or more or under, this has confused me for a while and not many seem to know, i have the feeling say a 1.8GHz dual core would get whooped by this 2.8 single with ease.

Please help.

so... i got this idea to make some sort of xmas site so i did except the content is very low atm so i'm asking here what to add but do remember i want to keep the site legal so the music i've placed there you can download from the net, free and legal.
anyway the site only consists of 1 page atm and i wan't to enlarge it to currage traffic to the site, got any ideas? then do tell

i only saw this game once or twice when i was at a hospital and they had a c64 but it was rather fun, i can remember that the background was black and it was in some sort of forrest that had platforms going in the air AND in the trees, also i think there was a house there that had similair ramps on itm the platforms went up high in the sky and yet there was some trees there but big ones all the way up from the ground.
i do remember it was a side scroller of sorts but you could walk all ways in it including back, didn't normaly do that in games for this old thing.

i don't remember what you were supposed to do but if anyone has any ideas please post.

okay i know this is WAY old tech BUT i'm still curious, i know 1 way of doing what i want a litle bit anyway, use hyperterminal to directly link 2 modems no isp in between, done this with a few hardware modems i got around NOTE doesn't seem to be possible with software modems or as they also are called winmodems.

anyway the 2 modems i've gotten to work right now are 2 external us robotics modems 1 56k and 1 33.6k, shame i don't have another 56 but meh.
in hyperterminal on pc 1 i  type in ATD to call then right after on pc2's terminal ATA to answer and they actually talk to each other via a normal telephone line linking them together NOTE DIRECT no isp, they squeal 'n stuff .

anyway... what i'm trying to do is have 1 pc as a gateway to internet via a dialup modem but the "gateway" pc has to have it's modem so it answers right away, no extra running over to it so it answers.

and before someone asks why i'm "poking" with this old tech is cause i'm a litle curious and also becuase i'm trying to get my parrents a taste of internet yes i know modems are slow and there are other ways BUT i live in a house about 100m from theirs and only i have a internet conenction, optic fiber actually, and they only have what's left of a very old telephone line that goes between our houses, i could try a ethernet cable but usualy those usualy can't go over 100m and i bet it's more between the houses also a road in between so adding a new ethernet line is also next to impossible, also a deap ditch is inbetween causing even more problems so now you know, if i could get this to work they atleast could try the net without them hanging over my shoulders every time they want to see something so if someone has any ideas how to accomplish this 2 modem thing please tell, i used to use modems to access internet over that old telephone line when i was younger and lived in their house and it's still connected into both houses even if it's not connected to a ISP anymore, yes the line is dead no phone signal
