The Hydlaa Plaza / Clicky games
« on: February 10, 2008, 01:47:13 pm »
Anybody know any clicky games? I actually know lots, but only have links for two  :-[ It's pretty difficult keep more than one running.

This one is Dragon Cave. You can get an egg and get people to click it so it cracks. When it hatches (normally about 50 clicks) you get a hatchling. I never got one but when it grows wings it is almost growing up. Then you get an adult. The tricky stuff: when you get an egg/ hatchling, you have 7 days to get enough clicks or they die. You can only have 4 eggs and 4 hatchlings at a time, but you can have any number of adults. Here are mine, you can find the cave in my siggy:

Try attacking a mob. Does it strike back? Well, I'm tired of attacking mobs that don't strike back. It means I can beat any thing stronger than me. I attack a thug and he blocks sometimes but nothing more. I don't get nothing like "Thug hits you on the legs for 2.83 damage." It's getting boring. Does anyone have the same problem? Is it because of the server reboot? Last time all mobs were impervious to attack. Now they're just wimps.

Roleplaying (Communitive Storywriting) / Farlen's tales
« on: December 30, 2007, 02:32:29 pm »
Before I start let me tell you that I might stop during a word or sentence because of my limited time. I work on my stories at night and note down anything good. This time I'll be working on a piece of writing to introduce my character. Hope you like it.

Part 1: The dream

Farlen Hamul woke up suddenly. He looked around, feeling sick. He was in a familiar alley. It was a dead-end, and it was dark and filthy. He looked at his tattered traditional Klyros clothing, at the rat meat beside him and some apples. He stroked his blanket. Sighing, he got up and went to the plaza.
It was another day. Another day of suffering and surviving. His dream seemed far away now.
Farlen Hamul was born to Onlor Hamul and Hina Hamul. His father met his mother after being poisoned during and expedition. He was a cartographer, one of the members of a team of explorers. Poisoned by a flying snake, his mates couldn't do anything and took him to an alchemist. That alchemist was Farlen's mother. They fell in love and married soon enough, going to live in the country.
A cold day he was born, and grew up dreaming about exploring and faring the land. But his mother went away leaving him and his dad a letter explaining why. She was a mage, practicing the blue way, and had to go away with her sister to an important trip. She did warn them that she may not come back, but Onlor ignored that. He kept saying she would, until one day, when Farlen was fourteen, maddened by love, he left to search for her. He was mad, and Farlen was sure now that he had lost everything. Farlen survived some months farming, but he wasn't good at taking care of a farm. He decided to go to a distant land to start his life.
But, sighing again as he remembered, his luck wasn't in the best. Almost dieing, he was found by a mercenary and started working with him. His dream changed, and, years later, after a dangerous mission, he stole his master's booty and went to live in Yliakum. That was when he was robbed. Forced to live in an alley, he still thought about his dream, his now vivid dream of being a powerful bounty hunter warlock.

Farlen sat down. That dream was impossible to accomplish now. Silently he walked into the Laanx Temple. Little he knew that his life was about to change again.

Part 2: Changes

Farlen walked in. He quickly bowed to the Yimn and said "May Laanx help you prevail" He studied Farlen warily and replied, a bit harshly: "Welcome to the Laanx Temple. May Laanx frighten the shadows from thy path." Farlen bowed, an exaggerated bow, and almost fell over. As he walked in, he studied the surroundings. The Temple looked dark and frightening. Although he worshiped Talad, he came to the Temple often and was polite with the Enkidukai. He walked around, sometimes snooping upstairs to glare at the Book of Names. His curiosity was a weakness, making him do stupid things, but this day it would pay off. He walked to the room he most appreciated in the Temple: the Well. He could believe many people and offerings were thrown in as a sacrifice, but he wondered... What was in there? He would soon find out, he thought. He took the weak rope he made out of his backpack and tied it to a piece of rock standing out. He lowered himself in carefully... but not enough. The rope was starting to give away quickly. He would have gone back up if it weren't for a little shiny thing stuck in a crack on the well. Curiosity, what did I tell ya? Anyway, he just couldn't resist. He reached out to grab it and at the same time... Snap! The rope was gone, but he grabbed the wall with his claws and climbed up. Although Klyros are not made for climbing, he had to put use to his claws. And soon enough he was out of the temple, squeezing a strained claw. If you had seen him that time, you would think he was fairly normal, just a little tired. You can't make a Klyros face seem to be reacting to pain. He silently walked back to the fountain and dipped his claw in it. While he was at it, he decided to inspect his loot. Taking the small, metallic object from his sack, cleaned it and looked at it. It was shiny indeed. He could see his reflection on it at least. That's what he saw on the first glance. On the second glance, with lots of joy, he realized it was a golden circle. The highest value official coin, worth 250 tria. Then he had an idea. Quickly running back to his alley, he picked up his apples and a bone-dagger his father had gave him. He marched off to the Harnquist and bought a low-quality short sword. Happy with himself, he quickly made new plans. He heard of another city not so far from Hydlaa, a city that, apart from the rat problem and the criminal underground, had plenty of mining places, organized shops and a good tavern. There was going to be a change, he thought, and this time for the good.

Part 3: Exploring

The view was wide. Gigantic conical mountains rose everywhere. The surface was formed by valleys and small mountains. Many travelers followed the path to and from Ojaveda. And Farlen was feeling good. Finally free, he thought. He should be halfway through. Wandering, he climbed a small raising on the ground and looked around. Everything was the same... The only direction was following the path. He climbed back down and resumed his trip. After a while, he came to rest by a human. The human looked exhausted, so Farlen offered him an apple. "Thanks." was the mubled answer. Farlen asked:
"Where are you heading?"
"To Oja." the stranger replied.
"Me too. First trip?"
"Uh-hu." the stranger took a bite of the apple.
"You know the way?"
"No, not really. I just follow the path. I actually got lost many times. You know the way?" the stranger looked up.
"Yea, more or less, I've got directions." Farlen smiled.
The stranger stands up suddenly and says: "Well then, lead the way, Klyros!"

General Discussion / I need directions (Read First)
« on: December 29, 2007, 11:00:25 am »
I started the game and went around thinking: What will I do now? I got a weapon and went hunting. But where? I asked. Someone told me there were rats on the way to the next town (forgot the name). I asked where. They gave me pretty simple directions: follow the tunnel, always straight, go through a passage in a conical mountain, cross the river. I followed the tunnel and saw every conical mountain there was and checked most of then. Unfortunately, something killed me. Now I would like to ask: would it be possible to have a map you could check which showed the location and names of cities and other important things? That map could be bought or given to you in the tutorial. Maybe there should be a cartographer job and blank maps where you could draw what you thought there was in the area? Or maybe buy detailed city maps/ directions from NPC's and players? Because I'm getting pretty bored wandering around without going out. I don't go because I might get lost again. I did ask someone to lead me to the other city, but they refused. After all, they have other things to do. Any ideas?  :( :( :(

This is how it happened.
I downloaded the game, installed, and entered it. I chose a race, name and some personal details, before I had to answer a call of nature. I come back and my little brother is playing with his newly created character. I need to delete it, what do I do now?

*edit*

Ok, I found the delete button, I checked the Guide and it said I couldn't delete it.
