             [ In keeping with the making of a Tradition we would like to once again announce the plans of a Summer Festival to be held in Hydlaa. Some major [Events] activities will be scheduled and sponsored. These will provide the setting to build the rest around. We hope this year to gather more interests in sponsorship for smaller and/or larger activities that can fill the schedule. Anything you think that would be fun or interesting ( within means of the festivities can yet be added.)
            The schedule will be kept and updated regularly as it was last year until  it is full. Some smaller activities can run at the same time. I will schedule a few non-sponsored activities that only need the participation of  interested parties to show up and be part of..
           Small stands for merchandise are not required to be scheduled and are encouraged to set up at will to take advantage of the weekend activities. Including food and an outdoor restaurant style settings.

          If you or your guild is interested in providing an hour or two of entertainment for the weekend place contact Jaycol here by PM, or in-game]

The City Prepares


     People arrive more each day filling the city walls as the summer's heat continues. On the fair days, crowds move throughout the streets filling the daily markets. New items and common ones come in abundance with the arrival of even more merchants from afar. Their bartering fills the air mixing with the sounds of the day raising up within the city into a constant buzzing. The citizens of Hydlaa look upon the increase with the joy and excitement of those that have newly arrived to the city for the first time. It is the coming of the Summer's Festival. Soon the streets will be over crowded with spectators and merchants alike as the days are counted down.
 
     Even now as you walk the streets you may see a great fighter who has been gone for many months, as they gather to prepare for the upcoming Tournament at the Arena. To see who is the Fighter of Heart, or just to hear the roar of the cheering audience one more time inside the arena's pits. To share kinship with an old comrade of battle or to face the new and younger challengers.

    The hunters have come as well and the miners. Bringing with them the wealth of their trades. Spreading it willingly among the cities many shops and establishments. Sharing many tales old and new at the taverns. Keeping the attendance there amused with wonder as they talk about their lifes adventures, or of the many myths that they have heard in their travels and pass on now in the company of new found friends.

    Along the edges of the street now monks and fanatics preach their religions and doom sayings to the passerby's.Collecting donations or just to spead the word of their gods enlightenment. More peddle the written scriptures of their religious sect offering the guidelines and rules that they have come to ive by. Hoping yet to instill upon the one lost soul they feel they can save and show into the greatness of their Gods blessings.

   Still it is early, but the excitement is felt with each new coming day as The Grand City awakes. Already the mornings get earlier as the stores and marketplaces prepare for the growing flow of customers. The taverns are filling up as well and it is harder now to find a vacant room. If you look you can see the tents of Merchants and trades increase outside the cities walls as entire clans have arrived from their own lands to share in the one of the largest Festivals of Yliakum

The Stonehead Tavern will be hosting a Summer Festival opening party on Aug 8th 0100 UTC. Stop by for free food and drink and take the time to catch up with old friends and make some new friends. Any entertainers who are interested in performing please contact me and I can see about adding you to the program. While you are at the party take the chance to cast your vote in our mascot naming contest. The Summer festival party will be the last chance to get your votes in for the name you prefer for our tavern mascot, currently known as the nameless Kikiri.

Guild Recruitment:

                A place and time has been set aside as a non-sponsored, non hosted activity. This is to allow some of the newer guilds and the older to set up and advertise or explain a little about their guild to interested parties. The time can be used to recruit, or for public awareness. This will also provide a common area for those that are new and those that are not to take a look at some of the guilds willing to participate ( Time line being considered) If you cannot send a representative at the scheduled time. Please feel free to use the location throughout the weekend Festival as an opportunity for you guild to meet the public. You may also consider a stand in the scheduled markets as well.

[The scheduled markets are for those that are interested in setting up to sell their wares. The place and times are provided as a convenience. The main market is on Sunday. I couldn't make the recruiting time today on Saturday, I should be there on Sunday. It is set up like the early markets to provide a place and time for those interested in using it. I hope others will take advantage of the opportunities they offer while there are several players in-game. ]
