open your shortcut ".....\psclient.exe" and add -cfgset=PlaneShift.UserConfigPath=C:\PlaneShift Steel Blue

should look like this:
"C:\Program Files\PlaneShift Steel Blue\psclient.exe" -cfgset=PlaneShift.UserConfigPath=C:\PlaneShift

it will create a folder where your logs, configs, screenshots etc are saved in. (always disliked the new location =P)

no idea how to solve your problem directly though.

if you dont get any updates to do (as i had), run the updater with --repair within a Shortcut

example: "C:\Program Files\PlaneShift Steel Blue\psupdater.exe" --repair
i dont get anymore crashes =)

the spell which didnt need any glyphs wasnt intentional. it is disabled till there will be some glyphs assigned to it.
