I wrote this when I was 12. I just found it in my writing folder...
Flight of Dragon
With a fiery wave
She flies toward her cave
With no heed for the men,
For their house or their hen.
Sweep past lumber mills,
And over rolling hills.
Now food is in sight,
To be devoured in one bite,
She swoops low for the steal
Of a squirmish meal.
Then on home she flies,
through deep, blue skies.
And I stare in awe
At the monstrous paw,
And her head and her wings,
And all other wondrous things,
All the great features,
Of the Queen of the creatures.
All men stare,
And at once I?m aware,
Of the beauty of she,
Over land, over sea.
Then an arrow is shot,
and it?s victim is sought.
What a fool he must be,
to quarrel with she.
But a fiery blast
Will soon be his last,
And the Dragon will continue her flight.
