The devs are looking for someone to do the 3d work on female Klyros, female Ylians, and Lemurs. They said at the meeting today that the male Nolthrir was ready.

It is, indeed, great art work, Rene.

Did you use my rl wife as the model?  lol It might just be my old eyes, but her hair looks auburn to me.

My character, Waesed, is a dwarf and is married to Jerada, a Dermorian. We are married in rl, also, and have been for 43 years.

:P i just used my imagination and a reference of a dermorian model from the planeshift site.
Married in game and rl so sweet~

Thanks for sharing, Rene  \\o//

It is great to see a skilled artist's interpretation of PlaneShift themes, in particular this Klyran speed painting, which shows an amazing level of detail.

Also, I am very curious how your future Enkidukai (http://194.116.72.94/pswiki/index.php?title=Enkidukai) art will turn out. I know it is inevitable that you are going to draw an Enki, after having seen that splendid Glowing Catfish (http://renepolumorfous.deviantart.com/art/Glowing-Catfish-252252221) ... and that red hooded black cat of yours ;D
Oh, and did you know that Talad is looking for a splash screen (http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=41479.0) to be used with the next release?

Welcome to the PlaneShift forum. :)

Your style is indeed impressive; there is just one point to be explained: Klyros are not mammals, therefore won't have breasts. That will make it a little harder to create distinct female proportions...

-Thanks a lot!
-Yeah i know they being reptalian but some kind of breast "shape" would be nice for them to seem more female-like.I think i have seen that in some not mammal-humanoid characters....
Sorry for that, that was my thought.

Thanks for adding that amazing Enki painting, it fits very nicely.

Klyros are not mammals
Yeah, this discussion emerged a couple of times, yet, if you take a look at the old official art, Rene's approach seems much appropriate.

Mhm, wasn't this art used in PS when it still was a 2d game? Oh, getting off topic here.

The Enkidukai is really well done, reminds me on a "lost" image by Karyuu (one of our former main graphical artists).

By the way, you may be interested in the PlaneShiftRPG group @ dA (http://planeshiftrpg.deviantart.com/).

Talad recently (a month ago) stated that they do have breasts. That may change, though.

First thing: Your work is wonderful. Count me as a fan.

Second thing: With regard to female klyros there are many options to indicate female gender other than breasts. Here are three semi-random possibilities. Wider hips to lay the large eggs of complex big-brained klyros. Longer, perhaps flowing, fins in brighter colors. Proportionally longer arms and legs and a more slender frame. I like breasts, but they just seem wrong on the intelligent pterodactyls that are klyros. This is an ongoing topic of discussion among some of the klyran players. Some of us hold strong opinions on the topic, others less so. The klyros you drew is beautiful in any case.
