3D Model of Stamina Potion
« on: March 17, 2007, 02:13:05 pm »
Well, it didn't turn out nearly as good as I had planned, but it's a start. I'll definitely keep working on it. It's a what I think a stamina potion would look like. It's been left out in the sand, as many things are in PS, and it's just glowing in the night.  :D

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

thats really nice effect. I been thinking about making some hind of this art too!
Tell, what effect did you use? Some kind of reflecting, or shining? Or it's just the texture?

I made a glow map from the texture and used the self illumination in Max to make the glowing effect. It took a couple of tries to get it to work right. I always mix up whether it's black or white that makes the glow. It's white.  ::) I blacked out all the parts of the texture that didn't glow and I desaturated the parts that did glow and used contrast to make the the glow more intense in the lighter areas.
