Wish list....
« on: September 15, 2002, 01:32:41 am »
Ok here\'s some ideas:

DirectX Rendering
How about using DirextX for the windows edition?   :))

Starting items
Can\'t we start with items without using a disadvantage/advantage? This should be easier. Most MMORPG\'s start with atleast some clothes and some money and a weapon, like a knife or something.

More realistic icons
PC\'s should have a decent icon (according to their race etc) or something, not just a \'old man\' icon in the front of the screen  ;) .

Easier Commands!
Walking through the door should be simple as walking on normal pavement/grass.

Is walking on the grass in real life as easy as walking through a door? No..

This is out of our area.  We use the Crystal Space engine which is not maintained by the PlaneShift  team ( although we contribute fixes and suggestions from time to time ).

Currently there is no ( good ) DirectX renderer for it.  However, as soon as one is developed it will very easy to plugin because of how CS is designed.  But developing it would take a long time and be a lot of work.
