[PvP] DarkStars Duelists Championship

Any Fighters wanting to join the championship, needs to register and pays the inscription fee of 1 000 000 trias, please contact Sanraka [petiton @Sanraka or Forum]

We want to be fair to anyone joining so here are some rules:
- ONLY CRAFTED GEARS ALLOWED, enchanted ones will be accepted except those dealing extra magic damage. (Weapon & Armor). [some mod being totaly broken with the looted weapons, we decided to not accept those].
- JEWELRY ALLOWED
- NO MAGIC ALLOWED
- NO POTION ALLOWED
- NO FOOD ALLOWED
- NO MOUNT
- NO RANGED
- NO BAG ALLOWED, to avoid any cheating, one of the DarkStars team will toss your pockets before fight start [you need to show empty inventory, a GM will scan it before starting, so no potions, no magic weapons  or helm that could be switched during the fight]

All Fighters will have to fight against eachother, in a 2 rounds fights.
   2 wins = 3 points
   1 win for each = 1 point for each
   2 losses = 0 points

The winner of the championship is the one with the highter number of points, after all fight been done.
In case of Tie at the end, the winner will be the one with the more wins.

Player B with 2 wins & 1 tie
- won the championship with 7 points

Player A with one win,  Tie &  loss
- is the second with 4 points

Player D with 3 Ties,
- is the third with  3 points

Player C with only one Tie,
- is the last with 1 point

Inscription Fee is fixed at 1 000 000 tria per fighter,
DarkStars will keep 20% for the organisation
 the 80% will be shared between the first 3 fighters as following
55% for the Winner
30% for the Second
15% for the third one
exemple with:13 fighters
 13 000 000 total inscription fees
  2 600 000 for the DarkStars Squadron as organisation fee
 10 400 000 for the reward

-  5 720 000 for the winner
 55% + specials rewards
- 3 120 000 for the second
30% + specials rewards
- 1 560 000 for the fird
15% + specials rewards

The championship will start as soon as inscriptions will be closed.

Once championship started, fighters can fight whenever they want just need,  in addition to the two fighters, to get 2 others participants as witness, to confirm that the fight was done fairly and the result.

Hey Sarko, thanks for your effort to organize an "official" tournament!
The last one of this kind must be decades ago 
And players like me got too lazy to host combat events, so it is cool the GM team takes initiative for a kind of event that used to be outside of their scope.

I have not enlisted so far for one reason: What will be the GMT times? It would be a shame to occupy one of the slots only to find out later that you cannot attend 
Since you're not going for a single (or double) elimination format, this event will need a lot of time and good organization. I guess it will span over a few days?

Also, it is interesting that you come up with this historical event shortly after the first combat techniques have been released. Mhm, I don't even know yet how they work *shrug*. But it is a great opportunity to promote the new mechanics for sure!

Sorry to address this point, but I have seen two (partly overlapping) complaint topics with a weird list of rewards for these events. I don't want to bring over any discussions to this topic, but I think it would be a good idea to clarify things quickly. If you can give a statement that the actual rewards still need to be defined by the committee, that would be good. If you could either confirm or deny said list of rewards, that would be even better. Personally, I think it is a good choice to hand out items with one or two good affixes and a base type (q50) that cannot be looted currently, such that the rewards look and feel somewhat special. But of course, the choice is up to you! And I don't believe you are going to pick a q300 variation of the only triple-affix combination that is already clearly out of balance, given that you already mentioned broken affixes in the topic's header

I already answered the complainers, they I've seen some displayed items in the DarkStars Camp, and assumed themself that those items would be the rewards. You have been here for a long time, almost as long as me, do you remember the GM giving away Q300 brute weapons ?
 we almost never gave brute weapons, except maybe in one auction, with a claymore and a Galkard.
their posts are just ridiculous posts.

For the fights, to avoid the time zone problem, if you and another fighter want to have a fight and noone of the Darkstars team are around, You can fight with 2 other fighters as witness (2 fighters + 2 witness)
then post results on forum naming the witness.

Ah, an open form of the games will help to speed things up for sure. (Though, in another open source game, I've seen a similar format torney that has been running for months). You are certainly planning to host an opening ceremony or something similar, which will attract a crowd of spectators and give the fighters a first good occasion to carry out some of the duels.

Right, I've been around (and not around) for a while... I guess it is my book that coined the term "brute" weapon. I don't remember the mentioned special rewards, but I once looted some q200 weapons. But hey, let us not get off topic here, and focus on the fun stuff.

Sounds like heaps of fun. But hey, don't forget about the calendar!

Some last detail questions:
Are glyph sacks disallowed? Probably. Not a big deal to re-purify all glyphs.
Enchanted weapons: I guess all status effects are forbidden, just like magical damage? Maybe one thing implies the other, then this question is pointless.
Combat moves are all allowed? Some complained that synergy messages flood the system tab - I don't mind

Enchanted weapons are allowed except those dealing extra magical damage, to prevent anyone being killed during the Championship, as killing opponent might be a reason to be banned from tourny.
I'm still hoping that we do not need to remove all glyphs, I still have enouth trust on you guys to be fair, anyway casting anyspell while fighting might by an other way to get banished for tourny so better remove your SC

A DarkStars member, caught Wocib in their tent trying to rob their goods.
Wocib attacked him, hit him on the arm and ran away, report will be sent today to the Octarchial guards.
Now Wocib is declared out of competition. We just hope the Menki to come and ask for a refund...

In the main while Edico from the way of the Hammer also decided to join, so he will take Wocib place.

No matter how the actual event will turn out, it was already great to see so many players get together and have fun with some sparring and friendly duels.

One hint for fellow fighters: Do not change your stance at the moment you could defeat your opponent. Yesterday, I had to realize that there is a chance that the target is accidentally and instantly killed.
