En Garde\'!

                                The Inner Beast
                                ---------------------
It hides in shadows, awaiting it\'s pray.
Lurking anywhere; the belly of a Wiseman,
               The stomache of a king.
With it\'s terrible flesh-tearing claws and deafening cry,
                      It shall slay the unaware.

Years of waiting, hatred and loathing, reflect in it\'s ugly eyes, pupils as big as oranges; hiding in the dark.
It knows you are afraid. It knows you are scared; it is the ugly beast in every man; greed, hatred, jealousy, envy, loathing, annoyance and arrogance. Every man is a beast.

It feasts on all that is good. It is made of pure evil; no solid elements. It drives the weary to insanity, while those who are aware of it are doomed to wrestle with it until the end of eternity. You shall be afraid.

Every man is a beast; these five words are true. It does not matter the race or religion, for every man is a beast.

You cannot hide, for it is everywhere. It is in every man. Every child. It is chained hand and foot to a wall, and is forced to see humanity not through it\'s own eyes, but in a glass window; it sees you, though.

Every man... every man... every single man... It cannot be bested, for it is every man...

A poem. Yes, the evil man in the poem would be Efflixi Aduro. Please tell me if its good im not good at telling good peotry from bad. And I wrote it in like 3 mins any ways. All my english teachers since seventh grade have asked me to perform my poems at \"art night\" cuz im supposedly good. I dont know... I dont know im not really into poems but why waste good talent huh? :)

A dark man stands before me
Killing anyone who resists him
and spares the innocent
A killer is before me
Killing warriors of his enemy
Killing my father
And there I stand crying
Faceing his cold eyes
Faceing my fathers eyes, empty
Why dose he not strike me?
An evil man such as this
Shouldn\'t he kill all there is?

Words are cheap, thoughts are priceless.Last Gate

Follow the river
up the stream
smooth as crystal tears
the guardians wait
shadows of life
on the brilliant shore
eyeless
soulless
paridise waits
past the darkness
through the living gate
they wait
shadows of light
enter the darkness
soundless whispers
echo the silence
before the gate
the shadows wait
hear the screams
of the silent guardians
walk past
don\'t look
don\'t hear
the sirens are calling
turn away

Next I will flog you with \'The Last She Saw\'

\'The Path I Must Take\' is my character\'s view of the world.
\'Old Warrior Fading\' is self explanatory.
\'Last Gate\' is about the journey to the Death Realm, or at least the entrance.
\'The Last She Saw\' will be about the last fighter on a bloody field of battle.
Wow, I\'m just filled with happy thoughts aren\'t I.
I don\'t know what Bjorn is blithering about.
And Bardialus, his poem is good, but way out there.  Knowing humans, it can\'t end well.

As this is RP poetry and we are bassed in a place called Planeshift, I wrote a poem about the start to an adventure my friends and I undertook a long time ago.
And it didnt, it took a long time to sort out.!!! Humans!!

steuben\'s epitath
----------------------

i once swore an oath
spake in an elder tongue
one old in the youth of the sun

i sealed in with iron
the only magic it will take
a bond no god can break

i did what was expected
i picked up my tools again
soon my oath, became my bane

i left what i knew
i left my home
i was impelled to roam

i drew my learned skills
i forged my blade
crafted with the best of my trade

i took it with me
used it as i must
but other things i did trust

i was driven forward
i am no knight
driven forward without respite

forward i moved
i faced the challenges of men
met with my skill and ken

against fanatastic beasts
i stood in many a misty moor
i stood covered in burning ichor

i spoke with gods
wrestled with their wisdom and wit
i continued unable submit

these i did not for glory
i worked not for fame
nor for title to claim

i went forth once more
i had no choice
the oath spoke through my voice

perhaps i would have gone
merely because it was right
to aide another\'s plight

i went forward with all my skills
i went forward with my blade
i went forward to aid

this last time i met my match
stood with my equal in guile
facing this my last trial

my strength was equalled
blade against blade did we batter
with the last blow did they shatter

yet we continued
we fought with hilt and shard
we continued our bodies marred

in the end we delivered the final blow
the end of this trial is met
i see my end with little regret

my curse is lifted
my actions it no longer binds
against my will no longer grinds

so here i lay
i draw my last breaths
finally able to rest

simply free
may laanx frighten the shadow from my path.
hardly because the shadow built the lexx.
the shadow will frighten laanx from my path.

the smith\'s first lesson
----------------------------

gold, its yellow glow
silver, its white radiance
tin, its blue shine
lead, its grey gleam

but iron, black iron
but iron, cold iron
but iron, dull iron
master of them all
may laanx frighten the shadow from my path.
hardly because the shadow built the lexx.
the shadow will frighten laanx from my path.
