How private are our chat logs and forum messages?

I've been told that all communications our characters send or receive are stored by the server, and since that information is property of Atomic Blue, developers have the right to access any of it at any time they wish.

How much truth is there to that?

Not true (well, obviously they're stored in RAM at some point, but not on disk)....
Except in the case that another player reports you, then logs of your conversations are stored for the next 5 min or something.

That's how I remember the logging being anyway.
