Complaint Department / Players need more rights.
« on: September 16, 2010, 05:16:53 am »
Players deserve the right to scrutinize, pass judgement on, and tell GMs who are abusing their position to get out of their face and leave them to play.

Eg: the infamous Lhaa vs. Ingles example. GM warns player for something they did that is not even against the policy, player tells the GM to get out of their face and leave them to play, GM kicks them from the server.

The rule that on the PlaneShift forums, players cannot post any threads about GM actions, resolutions, etc. should be revoked. There are a few reasons to this.

1) The thread can then be used by GMs to inform the community of the exact reasons why the player was banned, and the community can express their opinions, rather than having tensions bottled up and spilling into other threads. By posting the thread, the player consents to all information about them in relation to the GM action/situation being released. Only the player who was on the receiving end of the GM action/resolution may start a thread on the subject.

2) Having such discussions on the PlaneShift forums means it is less likely that it will spill over into the wider internet community. This means less potential players from places like MMORPG.com, LinuxGameTome, etc. will be turned away by rumours of corrupt GMs, unfair bans/kicks, and so on. Isn't that a good thing?

Anyway, flame away. This isn't just to do with my brother's ban, I dealt with that by leaving the "team". This is about me voicing a complaint that players in PlaneShift deserve the above.

If you wish to play on a roleplay server, you're in the wrong place. Players even get banned for roleplaying.

Hello all,

I've been doing some thinking about "Alignment", and how it works with PlaneShift roleplay to easily define a character, their probable goals, intentions, and what sort of characters they may associate with on a friendly basis, and what sort of characters they will likely fight with.

I am of the opinion that Lawful/Chaotic and Good/Evil as factors is too simplistic. These alignment factors are generally written for entire civilizations in the case of D&D and PlaneShift takes place under one government, which is either Lawful Good or Lawful Neutral, depending on your IC/OOC opinion.

Good/Neutral/Evil: Stays the same.

Therefore, rather than mentioning "Chaotic", a word that has got rather negative connotations in this game, I propose using Law Adherant and Law Avoiding. Adherants follow the law and include citizens, members of the Octarchial guard, etc. etc... Avoiders tend to avoid the cities, or at least the surface of them, preferring the countryside, sewers, either because they are criminal or do not agree with the Octarchial view on politics. The reason they should not be called 'chaotic' is because it encourages loose cannon characters, something in my opinion is less than realistic for PlaneShift roleplay.

However, I also propose a few new additions to this Alignment factoring.

Sane/Insane: Whether your character is mentally healthy has a massive factoring in their goals, ambitions, and overall Alignment. In some ways, you could say I have broken Chaotic into a few factors that used to be within the chaotic area. In my opinion it is better to break into these seperate factors to better describe one's Alignment with the rest of the world. There is no Neutral to this factor, you're either mentally healthy, or for some reason, you're not.

Traditional/Neutral/Modernist: This is another big factor, especially in societies that have retained their traditions. It is a measure of how integrated into the Octarchial "politically-correct" politics your character has become.

Self-Serving/Rule-Driven: This deals with whether your character is a Rogue-ish character following his own goals, or if he (and probably his guild) adhere to a ruleset and share the same/similar ambitions, that aren't entirely equal to the law. [This was added to deal with Rigwyn's point in his reply.]

Perhaps, we could add the religious alignment of the character too. Talad/Laanx/Xiosia/Dakkru/[Black Flame]/Agnostic/Atheist/Multiple/Neutral

Example: Akaiddo Kivikar, Nekaduky'a of the Kore Irka Clan.

Good, Law Adherant, Sane Rule-Driven Traditionalist. Follows Multiple religions with a preference for Talad and Laanx.

Have a go at using this system to define your character, and give me feedback as to whether you think it encourages better thought and depth of character when one is making a character.

In-Game Roleplay Events / Murder in Ojaveda!
« on: February 14, 2010, 06:31:30 pm »
* Akkaido Kivikar walks sadly up to the wall at Brado's and posts a notice. Looking carefully, one might realise his eyes are burning with a desire for revenge.

[OOC: great RP, this one is an offshoot of the ongoing Patrols in Ojaveda. Dharke was taken rather by surprise when showing up after an altercation between myself and this mystery Ynnwn (at least, he had that build... but was heavily cloaked and no one can be sure).]

General Discussion / Looking for: Sarraghi Enkidukai Priest.
« on: February 04, 2010, 10:40:54 pm »
[Hello all, I'm looking for an RPer to create an run a Sarraghi Enkidukai Priest. From information I gathered off PSWiki and ingame sources, Sarraghi are the priests/religious pack of the Enkidukai. Unfortunately, their texture is not in the game, so I'd suggest the person wishing to create this character to make a Rabani. The character will need no training and will be solely for RPs with my Clan and also the Enkidukai Alliance. Make sure it's noted in the character's description that they are Sarraghi and not Rabani. Also would be best if the priest was a follower of Talad, but Xiosia and Laanx are possibilities. PM me on this forum if interested please.]

In-Game Roleplay Events / [ONGOING] Patrols in Ojaveda.
« on: January 26, 2010, 05:04:35 am »

[OOC notes:

This is the work of Kore Irka Clan, not theAlliance. Kore Irka Clan has an oath to serve an protect all law abiding Enkidukai, whereas the Alliance is more internally aimed.

This is meant as an IC deterrance to crime, badguy guilds hate being jumped all over by goodguy guilds, we'd appreciate the same. That said, let's see what good vs. bad RPs pop up.

The OOC purpose of this is to encourage RPof all kinds in Ojaveda. It's one of many initiatives we as a Clan are working on.]

General Discussion / The state of Ojaveda.
« on: January 17, 2010, 10:46:35 pm »
Ojaveda is a bit of a ghost town, fellow PlaneShifters. In character, this could be attributed to fear of plague, the fact that most of the city is locked down.

But out of character, I say to my fellow roleplayers: Why not make this our new haven. No newbs of any kind starting there. No Power Levelers coming back to life there. Being in Ojaveda requires going out of one's way, a place with no Arena, no nearby known wealth mines, a place where life is slightly wilder and slightly less civilised than the bustling streets of Hydlaa.

Join me this weekend in Ojaveda, the silent sandstone city of the feline people, the gem in the desert, the diamond in the rough.

Note: I'm not writing this to "blame" anyone, but rather, pointing out it gives an opportunity. Little to no disruption, a beautiful town with a nice atmosphere....

General Discussion / Markets: We need some statistics.
« on: December 14, 2009, 12:19:21 am »
As you all know, Kore Irka Clan is running an Ojaveda Markets event (which may become a routine event).

We were planning on holding one this month, however with the shift to 0.5.00, we are not sure how the playerbase is. From what I know, many regular players have too many issues to be able to run 0.5 and run a stall at our market. We don't want to run the markets until enough of these regular players can play on 0.5.00 and run a stall.

So what I want to know is this.

Who of our regular players is able to run 0.5.00 to the point where they can reach Ojaveda and would be able to run a stall, and most importantly, has goods they wish to sell or goods their guild wishes them to sell?

All comments appreciated.

General Discussion / Saddening Attitudes.
« on: December 05, 2009, 03:04:36 am »
I've noticed a sad trend lately.

Rather than lending a helping hand to newer, less experienced players on Laanx, alot of the RP community put them off due to a single 'lol' in Main or a smilie.

They get "[No OOC in Main.]" as if it's an automated reply. When I was new, I was lucky to not get this kind of stonefaced behaviour, instead, the RPer explained IC/[OOC] and how to act in Main.

I've seen it on the forums, someone asking about a non-RP server and being told to find a new game.

Then these very same players complain that there is less RP on Laanx.

People aren't going to take up RP if 1) they're put off by mean comments, or 2) they meet enough people with ill experience with these RP 'nazis' to persuade them that crowd isn't worth the trouble.

Why is there apparently less RP on Laanx today? Because the last generation of RPers were far more helpful to newbs, and taught them how to RP rather than expecting them to already know. It's alright to be grumpy if it's an EXPERIENCED player doing unbracketed in Main, but too often they're not experienced, or simply not experienced at RP but been in PS long enough to get that Plate armour that makes them look experienced.

We, as RPers, should spend as much time befriending these inexperienced, Main Tab lol'ers as we do RPing with our friends. Teach them the ropes, then they'll learn. Don't attack them or make them feel lower than you, sure it strokes your ego, but it is killing RP....

So yeah. Take up the responsibility of the generation before you, who have now left, and be friendly, helpful, -good- players and PlaneShift testers.

I'm just wondering, for the sakes and purposes of RP, how a body gets from Yliakum to the DR after death.

Is it whisked away by Dakkru, leaving only a bit of spilt blood on the ground, or do the citizens throw it down the burial pit, which drops it into the DR?

Is the body not even taken, but just the soul?

Also, if the person in question is beheaded, or has a limb removed in the fight which kills them, do they forever lose that limb (in the case of the head, true death ensues), or does Dakkru restore it?

I've always wondered.

Roleplaying (Communitive Storywriting) / A Death at Brado's
« on: November 14, 2009, 09:52:32 pm »
A detective tale from PlaneShift

Sareeda Kiol stood with an air of astute nobility over the Kore Dsar, his striped paw flexing against the longsword strapped to his belt. His contrasting black and white fur stood him out against the sandstone tower, and his blue Kore eyes further stood out by contrasting his greyscale fur. He twitched his nose, slipped a fang out from behind his lips, quickly withdrew it again, and shifted his weight in his sweltering steel plate armour.

The Dsar was a military base, not really the sort of place the average Ylian citizen would have business being in. Rather monotonically tan in colour, it's sandstone walls and structures served their purpose whilst not being pretty or lenient on the eye. They were functional, and that was all that mattered.

Sareeda slowly moved down from the tower, and made his way toward Akkaio Dsar, stopping before leaving the Dsar to admire an old statue of an Enkidukai in rusty plate armour. An old hero from ages past, as far as he knew. Sighing lightly, he wandered into the mercantile district and entered Brado's Tavern. Walking past a member of the Kore Irka Clan, he smirked.

Unofficial militia, he thought, might as well be Blikau compared to us -real- warriors.

He got himself a mug of ale from the bartender, and hauled a seat outside onto the sunny balcony. Carefully removing his plate armour, he stretched out to enjoy the crystal-shine. The stark striping across his chest was disrupted severely, scars from his training and the limited military action he had seen. His size was made apparent by the removal of the bulky armour, his muscular stature sprawled over the chair, causing it to creak as if threatening to break at every minute movement of his body.

Lying there under the Azure Sun, drinking an ale in warm, dry Ojaveda, Sareeda believed himself to be perfectly secure. To a degree, one may debate that he could well have been, had he been any other citizen. That day, however, an assassin had his eye on Sareeda, from behind a building. Concealing his appearance, the assassin had been lying in wait for hours, for the heat to become unbearable for the plate-clad Kore, to the point where he would seek an ale and remove his armour to reduce the overheating occuring in his body.

Sareeda yawned, stretched back, tilting the chair to the point the back rested on the small barrier that prevented cubs from falling off the balcony. It gave out an almighty creak, but Sareeda did nothing to correct it. A Blikau menki came out onto the balcony, and dipped his head slightly, offering a note to the Kore. As soon as Sareeda accepted it, the Blikau ducked off, evidently on courier service. Opening the note his eyes came across these words:

“Death comes to those who laze in the sun.â€

Spinning around to look out over the balcony, Sareeda Kiol saw a flash of purple whish out before him, catching him in his bare chest. Looking down, he noticed a crystalline missile had sliced into his chest, almost piercing his heart. He let out a strangely pained mixture of a growl, groan, grunt, and roar, cut short by the quick collapse of his left lung. Unseen in the urban skyline, the assassin silently cursed Talad and Xiosia at the faulty shot.

Less than a second later, a second flash of purple caught the bewildered, frozen Kore in the centre of his chest, piercing his heart. He slumped to the ground, trying to grab the glistening, translucent arrows out of his chest, but his heart had stopped and within seconds he was dead. Upon his death, the crystal arrows quietly shattered and dissipated into the air.

A few patrons from inside rushed out onto the balcony to find the Enkidukai dead in a pool of his own blood, his soul clearly cast into the murky wastes of the Death Realm.

In-Game Roleplay Events / [RP] Alliance of Enkidukai - Council Meeting
« on: November 04, 2009, 02:08:06 am »
* Akkaido Kivikar posts a large poster outside Brado's Tavern.

~Alliance of Enkidukai~

~General Public Meeting~

A Meeting for the Alliance of Enkidukai will be held in the north part of Akkaio Dsar this week to discuss the upcoming Ojaveda Markets, the roles of Akkaio Setha Clan and Kore Irka Clan, acceptance and registration of Member Guilds, the tenets of the Alliance and it's constitution, and the roles and extent of sovereignty of the leaders of the Akkaio Setha Clan and Kore Irka Clan.

All Octarchial Citizens are welcome, including peoples not of Enkidukai blood. Organised public input is welcome and encouraged during the meeting. Anyone acting disorderly will be asked to leave immediately.

[OOC]: This meeting is entirely IC and open to any player who wishes to attend (as we need input from merchants and the like for the markets), precise time: midnight GMT, Saturday evening.

By "Organised public input" I mean that we will give the public a fair chance to discuss each subject before moving on... and shouting and causing disruption, whether IC or OOC will result in us asking you politely to leave (as you do that to disruptive people at public meetings). Don't expect second chances either.

Please attend.

In-Game Roleplay Events / [GuildRP] Kore Irka Clan: Promotion Ceremony
« on: October 16, 2009, 10:00:33 pm »
I'm very proud of my clan for this event, so much so that I'm posting logs to show them off!

At this ceremony, the appropriate ranks were given Golden Shields, Ornate/Reinforced Longswords (depending on rank), and Quarterstaves. We also had a minute of silence for a PS player who died recently.

(13:18:32) Akaiddo coughs loudly.
(13:19:20) Vakachehk looks at Akaiddo
(13:19:32) Akaiddo says: We, great Enkidukai, are here today to celebrate great accomplishments of our fellow clan members.
(13:20:43) Akaiddo says: However, we must also remember our friends that pass on. As such I ask that we observe a minute's silence for Astia Fingol of Nomothetes, where word has reached us of her permanent passing to the Death Realm.
(13:21:00) Akaiddo bows his head, initiating the silence, a single tear drops from his eye.
(13:22:48) Akaiddo raises his head. "Thank you for your respect to this great Dermorian."
(13:23:10) Akaiddo smiles at Joccey. "Thank you for coming to observe this with us."
(13:23:49) Akaiddo says: Now, we must move on to the main event, hopefully Teia will be with us soon for her part.
(13:23:55) Joccey gives a watery smile her eyes filled with tears, "I wouldn't miss this for the world"
(13:24:26) Dharke nods in agreement
(13:25:11) Suati gives a slight nod listening silently
(13:25:29) Akaiddo says: I would first like to say a few words about our Clan. I am proud of you, proud of you all. You are fine young Kore, and you serve our cause well. Enkidukai across Yliakum are telling of your helpfulness, heroism, bravery and your goodwill.
(13:26:24) Akaiddo says: You have made the dreams of my father, of his father, and of the Kivikar ancestors proud. The flame withing your hearts burns bright and true, and you are all deserving of your ranks.
(13:26:49) Akaiddo says: Today, we have gathered to celebrate those that have acheived their ranks, and to welcome new members to our family.
(13:27:21) Akaiddo turns to Mikuna and Korekyn. "Welcome, my brethren."
(13:28:33) Akaiddo says: We also celebrate the works of non-Kore for our cause, who despite not being privileged to be Finkyli, still work hard for the clan.
(13:28:56) Akaiddo turns to Suati. "We are grateful, sister."
(13:29:39) Akaiddo says: We are incredibly proud of our Finkyli. What great warriors! What sacred upholders of the Kore ways!
(13:30:33) Akaiddo says: Our Manthanol, so wise, so just, so true. They guide our clan through dark times, and walk with us in the light.
(13:30:57) Akaiddo sticks his quarterstaff into the ground. He turns to Vakachehk.
(13:31:23) Akaiddo says: Brother, will you come and speak to our members? Have you anything to say?
(13:31:45) >Vakachehk Kivikar stands up.
(13:32:13) Vakachehk says: well uhh wasnt really prepared for this
(13:32:19) Vakachehk says: but i do have a few words
(13:33:33) Vakachehk says: i think Akaiddo is very right, you all have been serving not just Enkidukai but every citizen as far as i've seen and would like to thank you all for yor good work
(13:33:47) Vakachehk smiles while siting back down
(13:33:58) >Vakachehk Kivikar takes a seat.
(13:34:52) Akaiddo says: Today I will be giving the Finkyli and Manthanol their badges of office, their special weapons, shields, and quarterstaves.
(13:35:20) Akaiddo smiles to Dharke. "Dharke, please approach."
(13:35:25) >Dharke Tirabu stands up.
(13:36:02) Dharke straightens herself up nervously
(13:36:23) Akaiddo says: You have served us well, not only finding strong Kore to join our cause, but by mining, donating Tria and resources, and continually proving your worth as a Finkyli.
(13:36:50) Akaiddo says: Is there anything you would like to say to your fellow Irka members?
(13:37:24) Dharke says: Only to say thanks for their friendship and support as a clan. Rreny'a so
(13:38:11) Akaiddo says: And now I grant you your badges of rank. Bear them with pride, Kore.
(13:38:38) >Akaiddo gave Dharke an Ornate Longsword, a Quarterstaff and a Golden Shield.
(13:38:46) Dharke says: Thank you, I will
(13:38:54) Akaiddo claps for Dharke Tirabu!
(13:39:02) >Dharke Tirabu takes a seat.
(13:39:09) Vakachehk claps along with Akaiddo
(13:39:38) Akaiddo smiles to Myriliana. "Myriliana, my dearest, will you please approach?"
(13:39:39) Joccey smiles and claps for Dharke Tirabu also
(13:39:49) >Myriliana Rakivik stands up.
(13:40:39) Akaiddo says: You have made me proud, by becoming so strong, and proudly bearing the armour of a Kore. Will you speak a few words to your fellow Clan members?
(13:42:30) Myriliana says: I would just like to thank everybody for being so helpful and I'd especially like to thank Akaiddo for training me up so well
(13:43:02) Akaiddo smiles, then leans over and gives Myriliana a kiss on the cheek.
(13:43:13) Myriliana smiles
(13:43:20) Akaiddo says: Here are your rank badges. Bear them with Kore pride and nothing less.
(13:43:33) Dharke gives a small whistle
(13:43:44) >Akaiddo gave Myriliana an Ornate Longsword, a Quarterstaff and a Golden Shield.
(13:44:01) Myriliana says: Thank you, I will
(13:44:13) Dharke claps for Myriliana
(13:44:15) Joccey smiles and claps for Myriliana
(13:44:19) >Myriliana Rakivik takes a seat.
(13:44:24) Akaiddo looks wistfully around but still does not see Teia.
(13:44:27) Vakachehk claps along with everyone els
(13:44:28) Akaiddo sighs.
(13:44:53) Akaiddo says: Mikuna, step forward.
(13:44:59) >Mikuna Tabu stands up.
(13:45:46) Akaiddo says: While you have been a ratbag to begin with, and don't yet have the wisdom and strength required to be a Finkyli warrior, I am still proud of you. I'd like you to have this helmet.
(13:45:58) Akaiddo says: Is there anything you want to say to the rest of the Clan?
(13:46:17) >Akaiddo gave Mikuna a Horned Helm.
(13:46:27) Mikuna says: i can not think of anything
(13:46:38) Akaiddo smiles at Mikuna.
(13:47:01) Akaiddo says: Well, let it be known that your good behaviour has impressed me, and I see merit in you.
(13:47:10) Mikuna says: thank you
(13:47:23) Akaiddo says: You may take a seat.
(13:47:27) Dharke claps for Mikuna
(13:47:29) >Mikuna Tabu takes a seat.
(13:47:36) Joccey claps also
(13:47:39) Vakachehk claps along
(13:47:50) Myriliana claps also
(13:47:53) Akaiddo says: Vakachehk, again, please approach.
(13:47:59) >Vakachehk Kivikar stands up.
(13:48:34) Vakachehk comes forward
(13:48:51) Akaiddo says: My brother, despite the rivalries we have as siblings, I am still very proud of you. When all others fail me in battle, I know your sword will still fight by mine.
(13:49:09) Akaiddo says: Father would be proud of you.
(13:49:38) Akaiddo says: I am prouder than any other to have you as my Manthanol, my second in command, my brother and my friend.
(13:49:50) Akaiddo says: Is there anything you would like to say to the Clan, again?
(13:51:22) Vakachehk says: well yes i guess so, I would still like to thank everyone for being great Irkas, and id like to thank you Akaiddo for leading this Clan and i'm sure father would very much appreciat it
(13:51:33) Akaiddo says: Now, please accept your badges of office and rank.
(13:51:58) >Akaiddo gave Vakachehk a Reinforced Longsword, a Golden Shield and a Quarterstaff.
(13:52:04) Vakachehk says: thank you
(13:52:06) Akaiddo smiles at his brother.
(13:52:10) Akaiddo says: You're welcome.
(13:52:11) Vakachehk goes and sits back down
(13:52:20) >Vakachehk Kivikar takes a seat.
(13:52:35) Akaiddo says: There are two others worthy of recognition.
(13:53:06) Akaiddo says: Teia Starsphire and Larkai.
(13:53:26) Akaiddo says: Teia has served me well, shown her wisdom, bravery, and strength.
(13:53:48) Akaiddo says: For that reason she is a Kore Manthanol.
(13:54:29) Akaiddo says: Larkai has long served by the Clan as a Kore Finkyli. He is worthy of much respect.
(13:55:02) Vakachehk nodes in agreement
(13:55:21) Joccey claps in recognition for both Teia Starsphire and Larkai
(13:55:40) Vakachehk begines to clap too
(13:55:46) Akaiddo says: So congratulations to them. When I can, they will be given their swords, shields, and quarterstaves.
(13:57:22) Akaiddo smiles at the Kore Irka Clan around him.

[Removed Tells, and a small amount of Guild chatter from the beginning.]

Well done guys!

Single Author Stories / The Kivikar Dynasty.
« on: October 07, 2009, 03:02:51 am »
An old dwarf beggar sits by the doorway of Brado's Tavern, a small fur cap laid at his feet. A young menki approaches him, a handsome rich young Rabani from a powerful family, dressed in fine silken clothes, a sabre sheathed in his elaborate belt.

"Give me but a few tria, and I tell ye a tale!" The beggar cried.

The menki stopped, and pulled out a small coin sack. He flipped a single tria into the beggar's cap, smirking.

"Tell me your story then."

The beggar cleared his throat, stroking his beard.

"Do you know the Kore Irka Clan? That famous pack of Enkidukai?"

The Rabani smirked further.

"The fighters? Yeah, I've seen them. Father says they're great heroes for Enkien culture, but I'm not really convinced."

"Well," the dwarf said matter-of-factly, "they are great heroes. The Finkyli Enkidukai are bravest of all Ojaveda's citizens. Only the greatest Kore get promoted to the Manthanol Council by their commander! Akaiddo Kivikar be his name."

The menki chuckled. "I've never even seen him. I spend most of my time in Hydlaa you see."

"Well he is a glorious menki!" the beggar exclaimed, "He is the son of Agarik Kivikar, who has not been seen in over a decade. Agarik led a company of Irka Finkyli into the Stone Labrynths, never to be seen again. None can believe he is dead, for Agarik was the greatest warrior Ojaveda had ever seen. He led the Kore Irka Clan before Akaiddo, who recently took claim to the leadership of the Clan. He is the latest in a long line of warriors to retain the Kore tradition of militancy and the Holy Finkyli lifestyle."

"The Kore Irka Clan dates back to the time the Octarchy took over Yliakum, meeting in secret, retaining their way of life. As things have relaxed, the Irka Finkyli have come out of the shadows, taking back their prestige. No one knows how long the Kivikar family have been the alpha family, some say centuries. What we do know is that the Irka Finkyli are devoted, loyal to their master to the end. The Kore Irka Clan is at the center of the Enkidukai Alliance, which is a trade union and council specifically set to retaining and reviving the old Enkidukai culture. The Irka Finkyli protect the Alliance, providing security, and bodyguards."

"Akaiddo himself is a courageous warrior. In his youth, he was lost in Hydlaa, and found a year later running a street gang. The Octarchy pardoned his crimes due to his age, and the status of the Kivikar family, and his father set him to training. For a while he ran a small trading guild, running goods around the Dome. He was betrayed by a good friend, Inkat Ketisnok, and then joined The Warriors Guild, where he completed his training and made many good friends. His mother sent Vakachehk, the younger of the Kivikar brothers, to the Warriors, and the two were promoted to a fair rank, after proving their blood-born mettle. Soon after, Akaiddo decided to stake his claim to hereditary command of the Kore Irka Clan, and was granted it with open arms. This spelled the end of his time in The Warriors Guild, and he took up control of the family and clan."

The Rabani sat on a nearby grain barrel, fixated on the beggar with interest. He pulled a Hexa out of his coin sack and flipped it in the cap.

"Since then, the Kore Irka Clan has gone from strength to strength. Akaiddo leads it with pride, now fully matured and fit for his post. He's bringing Enkidukai in Yliakum together. Hopefully forever."

"Tchasvok!" Another, older Rabani yelled from the gate, "We're heading back to Hydlaa now!"

Tchasvok the Rabani looked kindly at the dwarf, and flipped him two Circles, then jogged off to meet the elder Rabani.

General Discussion / Not sure whether this is acceptable, but...

I wish to run a market event in Ojaveda. My clan will provide security, and it will be the first event run by the now-forming Alliance of Enkidukai.

The issue is this: I wish to rent out the stalls in Ojaveda, for a low price (25-100 Tria per hour) as a way of raising funds, and making the market/fair worthwhile for the members of my clan that help with security work. It's justified in RP, as you usually have to pay for a spot at any normal market, but from what I understand it probably isn't acceptable in the PlaneShift community.

I would like to see if people would mind paying a small fee to rent a stall in Ojaveda for a few hours, in the name of good RP and some fun, as well as making money by selling ores, food, looted goods, etc.

There will be additional rules on displays as well, and we hope to make this a regular event. We also want to discount Enkidukai traders, and especially Enkidukai traders from the Akkaio Clan, who to our OOC understanding are the merchant caste.

Do note that if you make an Akkaio alt and wish to use him as your trader to get the discount, that's fine :D so long as you put a little effort into dressing him for the role etc.

Feedback please.
