Guilds Forum / [ALLIANCE] The Alliance of Enkidukai
« on: October 01, 2009, 06:39:39 am »
* Akkaido Kivikar walks calmly up to a wall in Ojaveda and posts a manuscript.

The Alliance of Enkidukai

The Enkien Alliance is currently being set up to protect and serve the interests of every Enkidukai in Yliakum. This Alliance encompasses several forms of membership to allow for the very best of service to the Enkidukai people. Administered by the Core Clans, the Alliance aims at protecting Enkidukai not only physically, but also in helping their economy and mercantile, and religion as well.

The Alliance will have three forms of membership:

Core Clans will consist of Kore fighters, Rabani politicians, Sarraghi priests and Akkaio merchants. The Kore Irka Clan will provide security and military advice as the Kore Core Clan. The Rabani Ithara Clan will be responsible for drafting up tenets, constitutions, bills, and other related paperwork. Sarraghi will perform religious ceremonies and fight against the influence of evil forces in the Alliance, and Akkaio will organise and administrate regular markets in the Akkaio Dsar. Core Clans get three Enkidukai Representatives each at a Voting Council, each of which is allowed to vote.

Member Guilds can be Enkidukai only or mixed race, and have plenty of say in how the Alliance is run. In order for a proposed tenet to become enforced, it must pass a 2:1 vote at a Voting Council. Each Member Guild gets to have one Enkidukai representative, and if their guild has over 25 active members, they get a second voter who cannot speak at the Council. This Alliance will not go to war without a unanimous vote in favour by the Voting Council. On every voting issue the Enkidukai Representative of every Member Guild has the right to speak.

Individual Members are Enkidukai who for one reason or another are not in a Core Clan or Member Guild. They can attain a pin of membership and wear it to show they are a member. They get no say at Voting Councils, and no vote, but get all the discounts and benefits of being in the Alliance. They can leave at any time with no hindrance or punishment.

[OOC from now on]

The pins I mentioned are simply written in your description, a gold pin with the Alliance name on it will do for now.

Currently a constitution is being drafted and initial Tenets are being written. The maximum punishment for breaking the Tenets will be expulsion, and will require a Voting Council vote.

This is probably more describable as a trade Union of sorts, the military presence of the Kore Irka Clan is simply for security. The aim of this Alliance is to make Ojaveda popular again, with regular markets and events, festivals and religious ceremonies.

RP alts are more than welcome in any of the Core Clans, some of which have yet to be set up. There will also be OOC Tenets for good behaviour and use of IC/[OOC] etc. to ensure that we are known as nice, ROLEPLAYING players.

Member Guilds will need to apply to me, and we reserve the right to say "no" if you are not an RPing guild. I will update with new Member Guilds, formation of Core Clans, required help, planned events, and so on. If need be, there will be OOC voting on new Member Guilds as well as IC voting on acceptance. The OOC vote will only be about assuring we have competent RPing guilds, and the IC vote will only be about ensuring lawful guilds that fit the criteria get in. There will be no discrimination other than that.

Edited: changed "Black Flame" to "evil forces" in the description of the role of Sarraghi. Apparently it's too blunt and abrupt for a high priesthood to know about the Black Flame. Further edit: It has now been noted that the people know it exists, but rather as a superstition than a proven organisation. Therefore, even if we have priests who will hunt Black Flame, they would not mention so publically or they'd be laughed at.

Guilds Forum / [CLAN] Kore Irka-kor
« on: May 26, 2009, 01:33:58 am »
Akaiddo Kivikar walks up to the wall of Brado's Tavern in Akkaio Dsar, Ojaveda, and nails a notice to the wall.

Kore Irka Clan

Grrensholo, my fellow Enkidukai. I, Akaiddo Kivikar, Nekaduky'a of the Kore Irka Kor write this notice to you all today.

Today the Kore-kor of the Enkidukai has a new sub-clan, the Irka clan. We pledge as Kore Irka to protect you, to assist you, and to be of service to the Enkidukai all over Yliakum.

Many of you will know the ancient role the Kore-kor played in Enkidukai society: the protectors, the military, the finkyli kor of the feline people. Today, I write to you to say that we as Kore are taking that role back.

Any Enkidukai is free to join us. He should learn basic combat training, as all members of a military force do. Unless he owes a service to someone in the kor, he is free to pursue other interests to benefit the clan, such as metallurgy, cooking, smithing weapons, mercantile, and so on. Taking these paths however is not seen as the most prominent way of life within our military clan.

We focus on the pure warfare of the Kore-kor. The best fighters are our most prized members. We will strive for martial perfection, both in individual strength and in group tactics. We will also serve and protect our beloved home city of Ojaveda and the fair Enkidukai people in Yliakum. We will not hesitate to strike down any chaotic, villainous, or unjust clans or guilds who try to taint Ojaveda with their filthy footsteps and lies and trickery. Ojaveda is a city to be proud of, let us retain its glory forever.

Our clan is led by myself, the Nekaduky'a, and assisted by the Kore Manthanol Council, our most holiest of Kore fighters. There is a minor citizens council also set up to attend to their administration and needs, that they may equip and feed the fighters to do well in war, to do well in the defence of Ojaveda and her love and purity.

I encourage any Kore Enkidukai who sees this to enlist, to help his feline brethren. Any other Enkidukai who wish to join us are welcome also.

[OOC from now on]

We are a fighter clan (not guild, though we use the guild mechanics) with a focus on RP and fairness to all players we encounter.

The Kore Irka-kor translates to the Kore Flame Clan. We are a sub-clan of the Kore Pack (the white tiger skin pack). Kore enkis can and will rank further than non-Kore enkis. That said there are two special ranks that can be attained no matter what the players race (even non-Enkidukai). These ranks are Thilyba (for female partners/wives of Kore Ylera and higher members) and Tabei Inu Jhu Kor (for those brought into the clan as honorary members, either for short-term assistance in a conflict, proven martial prowess and service to the guild martially over a long period of time, or for a great service/sacrifice martially for the Enkidukai people).

The Kore Irka Clan is in place only for the good of the Enkidukai people. Any member of the Kore Irka Clan is required to help any Enkidukai that genuinely requires lawful assistance. They are to obey the laws of the Octarchy unless declared specifically otherwise by the Nekaduky'a (a rare event, but maybe the odd assassination for RP here or there, etc.). Kore Irka members are NOT in any sworn to protect any non-Enkidukai citizens (I'm not biting off more than I can chew). We are here for the Enkidukai. That said, a Kore Irka member must NEVER commit wrongs against non-Enkidukai. Please contact me if a member does, and I will take both sides of the story and discuss appropriate punishment with my council if necessary.

Ranks.

Rank One: Dhavathu Thilha (Young Person). A new unproven member. This member has sworn to the Oaths of Kore and completed the Initiation of Flame. Civilian (non-Kore) initiates do not perform the sacred ceremony. They are encouraged to find a career path as quickly as possible.

Rank Two: Tlanna (Slave/Serf/Peasant). This person is for all intents and purposes a bonded servant. They are free to leave this duty at any time, however if done without the correct permission they will be asked to leave the Clan. The role of this rank is not so much to be a slave (that is simply the straight translation), but rather as a servant of the Clan. Sometimes non-Enkidukai characters may join the clan to be a servant to one of the members, in repayment for a great deed. Servants are always well-paid and well looked after in the Clan. The Clan has many guidelines on their treatment.

Rank Three: Zhagh Mantharor (Mage's Apprentice). This member has been taken under the wing of a guild-mage as their personal apprentice. It is a mutually beneficial relationship, the apprentice performs errands and tasks for the mage, who in return teaches him about magic. I will be encouraging the 'master' of each apprentice to attain extra glyphs, and assign RP tasks of equal difficulty to the quest(s) used to attain each glyph, to the Mantharor, and also the mage will be the one who teaches the apprentice different combinations to make spells and so on.

Rank Four: Nanol (Freeman). This citizen is unbonded and is not a servant. They are free to pursue their own career. Typical peasant rank.

Rank Five: Vinkalor (Fighter). These members are like a militia, there is no skill level expectation in this rank, it is for any member who wishes to be a full time fighter (and not as a servant to an individual). Kore fighters begin their training in this rank. Note: if the clan is called to war, all members are expected to be capable of fighting to a modest degree.

Rank Six: Kore Finkyli (Kore Warrior). This rank is sacred, and the members of it are professional fighters, with many side-duties and ceremonies. To attain this rank, a Kore character must max Agility, Endurance, and Strength, and attain a total of 80 Weapon+Armour levels trained (so 40Sword +40Heavy Armour, or 50/30, etc.) there must be at least 20 in an armour, and 30 in one weapon.  Kore Finkyli train religiously, and often fight each other as practice. Their life revolves around perfecting their skill with a weapon.

Rank Seven: Namis Ylol (Masters of the Citizens/Civilians Council). These citizens have shown to be diligent and trustworthy, and also to have good skill in the career of their choice. One Master of each profession is chosen to be on this council (some are RP professions, such as writing, mercantile, etc.). Each Master has a certain amount of administrative ability over those in his career line. The Council as a whole also have the ability to make certain decisions in economic affairs. This the highest rank a non-Kore can get in the clan. The Council also regularly meets with the Kore Manthanol Council to discuss relevant issues, where the Namis Ylol can advise, but have no power to decide. They can invite new non-Kore to the guild.

Rank Eight: Kore Manthanol (Kore Elder/Master Council). This rank is my personal advisory Senate. they advise the Nekaduky'a on any decision I require advice on (most of them), and also play a heavy role in administration of the guild. They can invite new Kore members and perform the sacred Initiation of the Flame. Also, in order for our clan to go to war, the Manthanol Council must agree to it via a majority vote. To attain this rank, a character must have maxed Agility, Endurance and Strength, and 100 in a Weapon and Armour, or be a member of the Nekaduky'as RP family. Also good RP is required as the main factor in promotion in this guild.

Rank Nine: Nekaduky'a (Master). Chief Elder, a role passed down from one Nekaduky'a to the next, selected upon deathbed. In the rare case of permanent death on the battlefield, the Council will elect one of themselves to run the clan.

Our fighting focus is not a PLer type focus. There will be many RP events and ceremonies involving the clan and this focus, from our initiations to well RP'ed guild wars. Also, our treatment of Kore Finkyli and Manthanol as superior is IC only. The Guild Chat is open OOC and we all are treated equally as players, although the Manthanol and Namis Ylol Councils get more say as they are the most trusted members of the guild.

A note about language and Settings:

I have used PSWiki (Xordan's) for most of my information (while it was working, that is). If the 'official' Enkien language is changed, I will change all Enkien names in the clan. According to the wiki, the Kore sector of Ojaveda is the military sector. As you can see in Ojaveda, Akkaio-Pack NPC Enkis are merchants (Jirosh, Toda, Phanejor). Therefore I assume that each Pack has a role in Enkidukai society (as is heavily implied.) Therefore, I have taken Kore to be the military clan, and have set my guild to follow that role in Enkidukai society. I acknowledge outliers (individuals of a Pack that choose a seperate profession) and as such have adjusted my ranking system to allow for members from all Packs. Should any of the Settings information surrounding Enkidukai society change enough to make my guild no longer fit Settings as it is publicly known, I will change the Kore Irka Clan to suit as much as I can. The Oaths of Kore are a Kore Irka specific oath, that sums up as “I will protect and help Enkidukai and be a good citizen, and strive to reach my goals.â€

Guilds Forum / [GUILD] The Tefusang Company
« on: March 31, 2009, 12:11:09 am »
[This guild was made by me, but on an RP alt, who has completely separate views, ideals, and thought patterns to Akaiddo Kivikar. Please do not discriminate against me for Malkius' ideals and actions. It has happened already once before.]

I am Malkius Axeblunter, Commander of the Tefusang Company. We are recruiting again.

The Tefusang Company consists of a group of mercenary soldiers. We do not fight for free, like other guilds in Yliakum bent on justice and 'honour'. To us, that is not of any use. We get paid for every job we do, from escorting, through to infiltration, attacking, and Guild War support.

The Tefusang Company was founded twelve years ago, at the Bronze Doors, by five Kran. They were then hired by the Octarchy for years to perform preventative measures against the horrors within. They saw many evil things, and learned that evil is present in every being, and as such most of them formed the opinion that altruism is a lie, merely a way to stroke an ego, which in turn feeds the evil in all of us. Three of the Founding Kran are now in the Death Realm, their eyes blinded by an evil spell (permadead)

The Tefusang Company returned to Yliakum this year, and are offering their services to the citizens, from escorting to joining guild-wars.

Prices so far:

Escorting from any one available point to another: 1000 Tria per map passed through, plus 1000 Tria per attacker slain. Minimum of 1000 Tria.

Infiltration of a guild and/or [RP] group: 10,000 Tria. This infiltration lasts two weeks, and the Company will diligently gather information, and also perform necessary actions and remove objects desired by the person hiring.

Joining a Guild War: 25,000 Tria. This deal lasts two weeks, and the Tefusang Company will not only fight, but publicly advertise the positions and ideals of the hiring Guild.

Any other deals and propositions will be negotiated IC IG.

[Yes, I know it's been done before, but there aren't any merc guilds active at the moment, and at least I have original ideas.]
