Mac OSX Specific Issues / v 0.5.9 Unplayable

I am having enormous problems in getting PS to play even nearly normal. Currently the trouble already starts in the character choosing screen - lag is unimaginable. When finally entering Yliakum it took me 65 minutes to get from the Forrest exit to Gugrontid.
I have tried various settings (disabling grass, turning all to the utmost minimum in different combinations) and also disabled GLSL. The latter however crashes PS right at the beginning. I reinstalled v 0.5.8.1 which runs smoothly - however graphics are bright and white which is not bearable too.
Deleting shaders etc. does no difference either.

I am running iMac 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB RAM on OSX 10.7.3

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

Mac OSX Specific Issues / Black World of Yliakum in Version 0.5.9

Since the new update, PS is barley playable. It is lagging almost everywhere. As I moved out of Hydlaa, taking ages to get through, I reached the forrest. Not much faster I was travelling there, then suddenly there was darkness around me! Not much of a good graphic one has to admit!

I did everything that was suggested for the ATI 1600X graphic card - and everything that I used to in earlier versions with not much luck it seems???

Any Ideas?

Mac OSX Specific Issues / 0.5.9 Does not load at all

Hi there,

since my updater does ignore all updates, I have downloaded the complete 0.5.9 Version and installed it on my Mac. However when starting PS it does not even get to a loading screen and crashes immediately.
Strangely the old version can also still be loaded, and I can play there.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Solved - problem was the skin!

Hi

I cannot get PS to run on my Windows 7 Notebook. It installs all updates to 5.7.1 but as soon as I try to start PS it returns to the pslaunch screen. I tried repairing - there was nothing to repair.

Geforce video drivers are updated to the latest version.

What else could be wrong?

Mac OSX Specific Issues / Widgets failing to load after update

Hi there!

After updating I get the message "One or more widgets failed to load. Please check your logs" upon loading my character.
Can anyone explaine what I should do? I have deleted my quest notes, as it seemed once some time ago as a widget problem. I also tried removing all logs this time but to no avail.
Help is much appreicated!

Edit: I got it to work after removing the personal skin and using the original!

Mac OSX Specific Issues / Crashes near water

Hi, first of all, congratulations to the wonderful update

Unfortunately I experience great crashes when approaching water. Not only PS crashes but my whole system starts up. Second time around seeing the water, it freezes my Mac. Third time around PS crashes only. Then all seems to run smoothly with heavy lag for about 3 - 4 minutes.

Any one suffered the same?

Mac OSX Specific Issues / Instant crash

Hi!

I am experiencing problems with one of my Characters, Majiora. Since she received her entrance to Winch and got her flying pet, I cannot play her anymore. As soon as the map has finished loading I crash. I am not sure if the pet really has anything to do with it as my main Char has 3 pets and she runs perfectly.
Majiora also starts up on my Windows 7 Notebook, but not on my Mac.
A GM has already reset her position twice with no avail.

I'd love to send the crash report but it is too long to post it here in the forum.

Any solutions?

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Launcher crash when updating

Hi

Trying to run the update on my Vista Notebook. As soon as I click on the "Yes" when asked if I want to update, the launcher crashes.

I have the newest graphic card update, added the line to the .cfg file and the elves skin is selected.

Any ideas?

By the way, I do have the same problem on my iMAC. Cannot run the update, crashes continiously here too.

Hi there!

I got a "One or more widgets failed to load" message on start up of my main Char! My old client managed to load her, but I was not able to dequip my helmet. I tried updating but there seems no update available at this time. Any suggestions to that would be appreciated.

Mac OSX Specific Issues / Version o2o on Intel Mac

I was really looking forward to this update and happy to see that it was working for 5 minutes then it froze my system again.

It's really disappointing, since on my iMac I don't have any lag which I usually experience on my PC. Also the graphic seems to be much better too.

Any suggestions please?

I was glad to see, that Vigesimi Datal Allavium accepted the letter at last. I was just about to listen to his story as the server crashed. Now I got rid of the letter, but the Vigesimi does not want to respond to me anymore. I really like to get the mission that he was just about to tell me. Any suggestions or should I report this to the bugtracker?

When I approached Jefecra, requiring about Rolara's husband, he asked me for assistance. When I reply "yes" he does not understand that simple word nor does he understand any other phrases in trying to accept his request. Did anybody else have that problem?

Mac OSX Specific Issues / Game doesn't load anymore

I have been playing for 10 days, everything was fine up to today. Exiting DR, the game crashed and doesn't start anymore. After loading the character the game crashes.
I am using a 20" iMac with OSX 10.4.9.

Help would be much appreciated.

Edit: Nevermind - re-installed the game, it works again. Strange!

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Sharven Holy Script Quest

I am stuck with the Sharven Holy Script Quest. The script is in my inventory, but Sharven does not except it. I keep on getting the message, Sharven does not need this item. This keeps me from finishing any other quests. Is there solution in solving this?

Mac OSX Specific Issues / scrambled screens and crashes

I get scrambled inventory screens - in fact all my screens I open seem to be scrambled besides the play screen. Also as soon as I do something in my inventory or pick up loot from dead enemies my game crashes.
I have a new Intel Core 2 Duo IMac 19" with a Radeon X1600 Graphic card. I am working on OSX 10.4.9. Any solution to this? I can't trade nor do anything else.
