General Discussion / New engine yet?

Every so often, I remember Planeshift, my first Morpg, and I check in. There was talk once about transferring to a new engine, but it looks like that has not happened yet. I would be interested in checking it out, if that happens. If and when that happens, Can someone poke me on twitter (@glompzilla) and let me know?  Each time I check I get less hopeful.  But the glimmer still glows. Happy Hunting either way!

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Deleting a character

I tried a search, so pardon me if this is posted somewhere and I missed it somehow.

I have a character that I no longer want, and I would like to try PS again with a fresh character.  However when I tried deleting the character (Glompz Illa, yeah, stupid name) it would not delete.  I asked ingame and I was told I would have to downgrade, delete, and upgrade back up, somehow.  It looks like I would have to uninstall PS, get a 5.5 torrent, install, HOPING that it works there... and if not, keep trying random actions.  Somehow that makes the thought of coming back here less exciting and I am HOPING there is an easier solution. 

Any way I can delete the character without spending hours on it?

General Discussion / Portal to Fragnetics server?

Whilest looking around Hydlaa last night, I noticed a new signpost,  roughly opposite of Harnquist's, across the plaza.  Its name was "Portal to Fragnetics server"!

Did not work though, and I did not have time to see if there was a counterpart on the fragnetics server.  Any news on this development?  I didnt see any new posts in the forum or anything.  Now making and working on a character with exactly the same name might prove a bad idea for mor than the chat logs.... :o

Note: I am not asking for opinions on whether it is a good idea or not.  I am asking:

Is there a counterpart on the fragnetics server?
Does either of them work for anyone else?
Does anyone know anything further about this?

If you do not have an answer to the above, feel free to discuss elsewhere your other topics  ::)

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Too Far away to Loot

When fighting, if do not stand and fight, esp if use magic... when fight over get "too far away to loot" even if right ontop of Mob...

Has happened many times... with gladiators and cutthroats...

Frustrating to fight for 10 minutes and then be unable to loot...

Looked in flyspray, did not seem to have been reported.  TRied to report.

Went to report bug... Could not sign on...

Had link sent to E-mail... maybe password wrong... ?  got e-mail with link... click it and :
Error #12: No valid magic key! Are you sure that you got that from your notification message?

so I copy and past into URL... same thing...

So unable to report bug... unable to sign in.. unable to reset... hmmmmm......

(Signin is Kabam [if can change it to Bamko, that would be neat too... but would like to be able to use it...])

I hate to start a new topic... and forgive me if I missed this elsewhere, but I did multiple searches...

I have trained my EMpathy to over 10.  I still can not get my pet to follow me.  I have asked for help in game, but it looks like I am doing it right... I get empathy points for trying... but lil guy just stares at me...

And not a clue on how to get him to assist me... and assist me in what? 

and how does one "train" a pet?  I look at his skills, but no way to buy training.

Looked for a book in Hydlaa Library... magic shop has a little info...

Someone had to create the system.  I hear you can do more with pets now...

could someone point me in the right direction at least?  a breakdown of how things work would be better.

Checked forums, guides.  Could be an interesting aspect of game play... or not?
