Heya all


Here\'s a project aimed at both artists and non-artists alike, meaning anyone can take part as long as they have a character!



The Lowdown:

I\'m posting this to see if anyone will join me in what I call the \"Fan-Fanart Project\". Basically, anyone who would like to see their character drawn by someone else will post a message below, giving a description of their character and/or links to pictures of it (if any). Then any artists who reads this thread can come along and pick a character to draw as fan-fanart, and post the resulting portrait below.

The point of this is to see how other people perceive your character, and to provide those who cannot draw with a character portrait that they can show on their bio, guildsite, etc.



To Artists:

Artists attempting a character portrait should sign their name or symbol somewhere on the final piece. They should also not say they\'re going to draw a portrait unless they intend on finishing it to some degree- whether that be just lineart or a fully coloured sketch. Artists arn\'t getting any kind of payment for drawing characters- except, perhaps, the client\'s gratitude. Keep in mind that it\'s just an act of goodwill and fun, so you don\'t have to work your arms off to make it perfect (but nobody\'s stopping you if that\'s what you wish ).

Artists are also allowed to express their interest in having their character drawn by someone else. So, if you like, post a reply below with your character information, aswell as telling us who you\'re going to be drawing yourself.



To Clients:

People having their characters drawn for them should not try to steal the artwork or claim it to be their own. By expressing your interest here, you state that you have read and agreed to these terms; stealing artwork is a personal insult and a crime!

When describing your character, make sure you include all details. For example, if your character is a male Ylian, does he have a moustache or a beard? Bald, short hair, or Aragorn-style? What does he wear? Does he have any trinkets or jewerly? Tattoos? Scars? Etc. Just telling us you have a \"male Ylian\" will not do!



So that\'s about it as far as rules and explainations go. I hope everything is clear, but feel free to ask any questions. Above all, have fun with this, don\'t forget your pleases and thank-yous, and be grateful if someone decides to draw you!

I am slim, not strong wearing traditional heavy silver plate on my legs and feet aswell as a short sleeve chain mail shirt and a quiver of arrows on my back. I wear a leather belt which contains a money bag, potions and 2 throwing knives. When not wearing my black cloak it is wrapped around my quiver of arrows. I specialise in archery aswell as lightning and healing magic. My skin is paler than a standard dermorians and I have no scars or tatooes on my body and wear an amulet with a metal plate shaped into the following symbol

I really like this idea, please sticky it Moogie.

As my skills are no longer up to scratch (I dropped art for psychology in high school as they clashed, I am studying psych at Uni now), I will not be able to draw for someone else. Sorry.
Hence I would appreciate it if someone were to draw for me.

Genreal appearance:
Tyralus is a slim, male Enkidukai. He has dark grey fur and piercing, light blue eyes. He has short hair the same colour as his fur, with a single lock coming down to just above his left eye. While fully grown, Tyralus is short for a male enki, being just below average height.
Apparel:
Tryalus wears a plain grey tunic and plain grey pants, which are held up by a belt with a silver square buckle. A small straight dagger hangs in his belt, to the left of the buckle. He wears black boots that come to mid-calf and have a silver buckle for fastening them just below the top of the boots, with the pants being tucked into the boots. Over his clothing, Tyralus wears a loose fitting, hooded black cape, fastened at the neck by a small silver skull. He wears the hood, and allows the cloak to stay open, billowing in the wind behind him, the cloak is full length.

If this is too hard to draw, let me know and I will post a revised version, if you need help visualising anything, let me know and I\'ll give you a (rough) sketch.

I like this thread, however I do not do 2D art & haven\'t perfected my Char\'s Bio much but what I got so far is on my website (The long version about the conciseness behind the Char mostly not much about the appearance of the Char I\'d like drawn. http://www.geocities.com/lightningseraphim/index.htm the picture @ the bottom is really all my Char\'s core inwardly appearance)

I am probably going to express my Klyros Char artistically as 3D renders, however 2D art can have much more depth sometimes see here is what my Char\'s Klyros incarnation \"Seraph\" looks like.

Very lean-muscular & agile build, he is going to specialize in Crystal (mainly lightning) spells (with some elemental earth sky & water on the side maybe), being adept @ many forms of Archery, he carries several types of bows with a bunch of miscellaneous arrows clustered to his back. he has ocean-colored skin, faceted tints of blue & silver his skin can almost be translucent when nearer the surface of the lake.

He sometimes wares cloaks or robes for cover, however this is usually un-needed because he is a fast runner using his wings to propel him faster... he can always find food hunting it with one of his bows. The cloaks are only if he is to be un-seen...

It would be awesome to see him with one of his bows & an arrow in mid-flight. maybe the arrow is being struck by a lightning? that is sort of how I see Seraph but you may see different.

I hope I have described my \"Seraph\" well enough...

Wow, to tell the truth I was a little unsure as to whether this idea would take off, but I\'m pleasantly suprised.

As soon as I can steal the scanner back from the PC downstairs, I\'ll pick an Enki or Klyros to draw. Seperot and Moogie are the only people I can comfortably draw with a mouse that lags every 4 seconds.

Yes I think it\'s Great! However I do not really think it should have been stickied so fast, because not everyone as seen it yet...
(& not many people look @ the stickies on a regular basis)
When I looked @ the forum I looked for the tread asking \"Were did it go?\"
But maybe people will look @ why there are more stickies then usual?

First is there any artists willing to create signatures for my guild? Original concepts preferable.

I am always looking for more so heres my lowdown:

Male (Mid 20\'s) (Human)
About 6\'2 in height (So not short and not a giant)
Long black hair (As shown in the other pictures)
Blue Eyes (Face is no emotion)
Black Bandana
Light armor (Leather with some brass whatever..)
Black Cape
Dual Daggers

In the picture I would like me on one side and on the other side some enemy mob, and I have myself pointing a dagger directly at them. Like I am saying your dead where you stand >.>

Scene- Dark backround in a cave or whatever. Battle environment is nice.

Nice idea. I can\'t contribute art myself, as I lack a scanner and I suck at using a mouse \\ computer pen (especially when the pen is broken), but I\'d love to have my character drawn.

My character is a tall Kran, his body is rock-gray and he got those arm bracelets Krans have (you can check them in the Heavy Kran movie). The bracelets are mainly black, and the diamond-like things on them are blue.
He holds a very big axe (dual bladed) in his right hand, that lays on his right shoulder.
Although not necessary, an anvil that stands on a simple wooden platform (nothing fancy, just a wooden rectangle-cube thing), with a blacksmith hammer rested on it.

My favorite art is a non-colored pencil-drawing, so this is preferable. Of course, if you draw without colors you can skip the color guidances.

I, too, would like to see a picture of me, here\'s how I look:
Elegrand is a male Xacha, he is young (17-20). He is a battlemage, the two magic schools he specializes in are Azure and Dark (Shh, it\'s a secret!), and he uses a rapier. In his left hand (he holds the rapier in his right) he will usually hold his staff to help with magic. He usually wears a dark robe with the OI Emblem sewn into it. His hair is shoulder length. A tavern-y background is optional.

Background: After having been insulted and tortured on a regular basis by his adoptive parents, Tybalt started to believe that he was a hideous creature and decided to hide behind his red robes and hood.

Description: Black DIABOLI (<--edit) with a slim, yet well built body, that likes to keep as much of his head as possible in the shadow of his hood. After an accident he has become blind and once and again blood starts running from his eyes (could be cool to have in the pic).

The picture could be set basically anywhere but it should represent darkness and solitude.
Preferably a picture when he is not fighting (for once ) like maybe cleaning the blood off his face or something.
