In-Game Roleplay Events / Roled's Pi contest on Monday 3-14 at 3 pm Pacific Daylight Time- TRIA PRIZE!

Roled is hungry and rich.

He is offering a prize of 314,159 tria for the best baked good in the land.


The contest will start at 3 pm PDT, (my time,) for an hour or two depending on who shows up, in the basement of Kada Els.

Players DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE THE SKILL OF COOKING to participate. Please arrive with something resembling a Yliakum baked good. Give Roled your name and the name of your entry. Then when your turn comes, you describe your entry as rp. Just describe your pie.. um... whatever you make, and have your description be delicious and luscious and excessively wondrous fine.  Confectioneries will be judged on taste, a creative and original combination of ingredients, presentation, color, texture, difficulty, abundance and beauty of design.

You must be present to win.  Alts are encouraged but only one entry per player please.

Entrants will then set their item on the main table, with a book explaining the pastry and it's creative and unique attributes. 

Roled will ask each entrant a few questions, like the Great British Bake Off if you've ever seen that show.  I may recruit another "expert" judge or two. Then Roled will ask every one to taste every pie... um, baked good, after listening to everyone's description.

Then everyone present can vote by telling Roled their choice. One vote per PLAYER only please...  and then Roled and the other official judges will discuss the popular vote AND their own vote.

And then Roled will announce the winner, since RR is giving the prize! Then we all get to eat.  And drink. Stonehammers welcome....  :whistling:

General Discussion / Question: In prep for my discussion with the GMs- requests

Questions: In preparation for my discussion with the GMs I have two questions and a request, please.

1) Where can I read the policy and procedure manual for GMs And the training manual if it is a separate document?

2) Where can I read the governing documents for the ownership of the game? Not the contributors ABC license but  documents like by-laws, incorporation statements, and board of directors' policies and procedures in English please?

and

3) I am trying to work out a time with the GMs and authorities that crosses timezones, and when several of us can participate.  I would like 4 to 7 people to accompany me and be observers. If you're willing to be with me at this discussion would you please either respond here or send me a pm or a FB? I know it depends on time and date.  But if you're willing to come with me, I will try to work out agreeable times.

Again as always, read or not, as you wish.

I have decided to reveal a few things about RR's player to address rampant assumptions.

Yet, really, I shouldn't have to. Really no one's business.

But sometimes truth telling is critical to change.  Open discussions are the only way hegemony can be addressed non violently. These disclosures about me, in my real life, are my choice to reveal.

If I am allowed to post these few revelations I will post one at a time to allow you to respond or question.

Relevation #1:
Roled Rolak's player is both in real life and in practice, a self identified heterosexual being. Always have been. No one in my immediate family that I am aware of is gay.  Some however are happy...  :woot:

Complaint Department / The thread has now been locked

The Speak with the God/dess thread is now locked. I can neither post nor modify any of my previous posts...

I was sent a system message that said speaking in IRC gm-talk is my only option now. There was not enough space in the system to allow me to respond there.  I said that I do not trust I would receive a fair hearing in IRC without witnesses. I also reminded the GMs that my computer does not do IRC well and that if I agree to speak in IRC I ask for witnesses of my invitation to be there.  And if can get in IRC at all, this session also needs to be at a time convenient to me.

Who knows if this will be posted so I have also posted in Facebook if you're one of Roled's friends. Go there if you want.

In-Game Roleplay Events / [player rp event] Speaking With the God/dess May 9th All Invited!

Speaking With the God/dess the religious discussion, is May 9th, upon the lawn of Jayose's Libram.  Its at noon PDT which I think is -8 GMT but I don't know about daylight time's effects across the pond.  All are invited!

There is a panel of religious scholars, one representing the tenets of each of the God and Goddess's of our Dome.  The panel will be moderaed by Arch Chancellor Tuatenach of the Knowledge Seekers, and includes Sir Wulfur representing the teachings of Talad, Lady Poezza speaking of the power of Dakkru, Priestess Siteya offering insight into the balancing wisdoms of Xiosia and Sir Eresae [sp?] proclaiming the disciplines and requirements of true faith in Laanx.  There will also be a time of questions from the attendees to the experts.

A potluck lunch will be available courtesy of the cooks and chefs of our land [please bring food and drink to share!]

The Speaking may include unlooked for insights and unanticipated turns of event. Don't miss the Speaking With the God/dess event!

Also! We will have 3 "prepared" questions for the panelist each to address. WHAT WOULD YOU like to ask a God or Goddess? Please put your suggestions of questions here and we will try to incorporate your ideas. Also please come to the event with your question(s) in mind (not a book actually "in mind" on your puppet, but well you know what I mean) to make for a lively hour or two! Thanks!

Are you a brilliant Scholar and Theologians of the Goddess/God you follow?  ::|
Would you like to participate in the first (to my knowledge) Great Gods Debate?  :devil:  \\o//

I'm organizing a debate/ discussion ig with representatives of each of the major religions on the panel of experts and discussion with the citizens in attendance. So far we have our moderator, Arch Chancellor Tuathenach of the Knowledge Seekers, our Xiosian and our Laanxist.... we're not inviting BFs because, well, we citizens don't even know they exist  ::| X-/

Now we're looking for a well versed Dakkruist and an equally well versed Taladist. The rp discussion between the four accepted religions concerning the tenets of each in regard to religious freedom in Yliakum will follow a kind of modified debate format. Each of the four presenters will be asked to answer three prepared questions about specifics of the religion that they follow, and the rp will questions and discussion with the audience. :woot:  Questions from the audience will not be limited to the questions asked of each of the scholar/theologians.

TO be held in game SOON like in the next 2 weeks? Any of you lore birds wanna crow? I am even willing to stay up all night so European GMTs can play too...  PM me or answer here. Thanks!

Having never been banned, I don't know what "laws" might be applied to my adamant expressions about the marriage settings button issue and its greater effects on our virtual community in PS and in the gaming and moorpg community at large.

The Dermorian approaches the kiosk gingerly. He takes a beautifully calligraphed scroll from his bag and smooths it out, then tacks it up in a prominent position. Next to the notice he ties a snowbud, tied in a blue and white ribbon. The notice reads:

The Novari Celebration of Xiosia and Community Feast

The Daughters of Xiosia (DoX) and the Sons of Xiosia (SoX) invite ye all and each to the Novarti Celebration of Xiosia followed by a breaking of fast with a Community Feast!

The Celebration be open to all, no matter which Goddess or God ye may follow. T'will include readings from The Way of Peace, chanting upon the Balance of Xiosia, reflections upon our Goddess' poetry and dancing round the Sacred Tree. The Celebration welcomes new members into DoX, notably Aleeane the Healer, as well as reflections upon Aerynaia of DoX and Queen Lolitra of the Royal House of Purrty, who have passed into the Crystal.

Following the Sacred Celebration be a Breaking of Fast with all of our Citizens of the Dome, with lush foods and libations provided by the largesse of those what can do so and bring with 'em.

Please to see the Priestess Siteya of the Daughters, or the Dermorian Roled Rolak of the Sons, if ye has questions or would like to offer yer services within the reading and dancing and food bringing to the celebration! We do especially ask fer pie.
