What "proper order," exactly? What could you possibly need to do?

We never know exactly when we will shutdown the server for a release. We didn't know we would do it the day before it was done. At some point most of the content gets to a state considered mostly ready, a test package gets created, and the server is taken offline.

Taken ores out of the furnance. (3 minutes grace time would be sufficient here). I guess every ore in the furnance now is gone.

Finishing unfinished quests [I hope mine wont be broken due to update (one day maybe?)

It could take you days to finish unfinished quests. Moreover, you can continue them after the update. It doesn't affect your quest history.

And when you really think about it, what do you want more: ores, or a new client with a ton of cool stuff you haven't had before? I think the small sacrifice may be worth it.

That's true I even had time to /tell almost whole my buddy list online goodbye, and I shouted a couple of time  Something like "Oleeeeeeeeeeee!" ect.

I really miss Planeshift. I've had all week off, with nothing to do, and I've been hoping the servers would come back up. Planeshift is a great project.

is there any sort of guestimate as to when things will be running again?

it's a bit frustrating to check each day and find that it's down. I do appreciate that this is a beta product
and it's being developed on the testing server but letting people know every coupla days in the forums that
it will be a couple more days would have been nice.

On the downloads page - I reckon you should have a warning or something indicating that a new client
release is due and that the server is currently down.

How is the Bug smashing going?    I just downloaded the client and I cant wait for the update!  I hope you guys get it up soon. I have the next three days off with nothing to do.  I cant wait to see what you guys have in store.  Goodluck with fixing the bugs.

The server is down for an update. We faced few issues during the final testing with laanx server, that delayed the release. We are still testing the new release and hope to release it in the next days. More news will be given here. In the meantime write down the background of your character and think on how his past experiences could influence his current behaviour and reasoning.
