Server " Locked" ?

I have never seen this before. Is it the server or Me?


Edit: Now it went down to a Failed status. But still interested in finding out just what " Locked" means if its not too delicate information. Just curious cause I have never seen a server come up with that.

Whenever there is a planned shutdown I usually annouce it in game like "Server shut down in 5 minutes" and then I 'lock' the server.  This prevents players from logging in only to be booted off in a couple minutes when the server shuts down.

Ahhhh. Ok. Now it makes perfect sense. I must have missed the shutdown warning. I had locked up in game and was resetting at the time it became locked so was curious. Thanks for the explanation. Always nice to learn new things.

aye , seen message in game about how long will server be locked?

I usually give a 3-5 minute warning for a shutdown so will be locked for that time.  Then I do whatever I have to do to the server ( anywhere from a few minutes to a few days ) and then server comes back up.

Thankyou for the warning.

But could you wait untill the 3 min mark to lock the server?  I was just barly able to transfer a gliph to my overweighted main carater befor the server locked; he is overweighted by an anvil quest item.

oh, please not a few days locked.... i just started the game last night and it's great!
