Server down since April 29, 2008 (resolved)

Hello,
  I know all of the "before you post about the server being down stuff", so no need to remind me.  Since an hour ago, I lost my connection to the server, and have not been able to reconnect.  Each attempt draws a "failed" response.  However the server page shows the server to be running, the time is updating correctly, although it seems to be locked at displaying 81 players online, and has not changed.  Since no info about this was provided from the devs, I assume this is not intended or part of regular maintenance.  I'm also aware of the recent upgrade.  Since the server isn't just showing an "offline" response, I thought it appropriate to start a new thread, since this is a little different than the usual offline problems.  Lets discuss .

By the way I think just the server is in Singapore, not the devs... so they shouldn't be sleeping at this hour...

ahh, my bad.  I was thinking of first person shooter.  Well I know the server went down about an hour before this last time, so they were working on it somewhat recently before the hurrah.

Nobody who has access to the server is online. ETA is.. whenever one of those few people comes online.

I just came out of the locked thread talking about the downtime for the server due to (hardware) uprades. Nice to see the upgrades done. Server status page is back on-line. I get the status page telling me server is on-line with this data:

Time:    Wed Apr 30 2:36:11 SGT 2008

Total Online:   81   
Accounts   520966

I added the "temp server" mentioned in the Server down for maintenance - April 27, 2008  thread, and not online either. I can ping the laanx.fragnetics.com server from my console, but neither port 7777 (default setup) nor the "temp" port 13331 come back in the client as the server being there.

Both computers I run this on are the same in client response to the server.

ADMIN, Plz, is there something someone overlooked SOMEWHERE that we need to know, or you to fix?

The stats page seems to be incorrect. The server (software) is definitely down. I've already said that there's nobody online who's got access to look at what's wrong, so please be patient.

ok, the status page has now changed.  It is now showing that it is offline.  I don't know what this means, but we can let our imaginations run wild

The status page now shows it's up and running, but w/ 0 players.  Looks like it's being worked on.  A side note, i see the my title has been edited by a mod.

I apologize if I sound impatient or anything.  Please do not take offense.  I've had too little sleep and I'm a bit grouchy.

I noticed that the server was down again today.  Is this going to be one of those expected things due to the upgrade?  Should the players just expect this to be the norm for a while as a result of unforseen issues with the new server?

As I said, I do apologize if this comes off as anything other than a harmless question.  I am not intending to imply insult or anything else.  IMHO, if we are told that we can expect this for a while longer, it won't come as such a shock to find it down.

We switched hardware so it might take a while to get everything back running smoothly.  There was a DNS change as well to point laanx to the new machine so that might need some time to spread throughout the world as well.
