ok i uninstalled the previous download and im downloading from the windows mirror, so will this fix the updater problem? and more importantly when i go to start the client will it actually start or will i have to mess with other downloads so i dont get that opendl error?

the clients linked here are the SAME as those linked on the main site. they are just in another location to make downloading easier for some.

yes, just run the installer and run the game and you should be good to go.
