References to '/this/' in filenames by the installer and updater

Could not write stringtable file '/this/lang/english/stringtable.xml'.
Couldn't open xml file '/this/updateservers.xml'!

One person had a serious problem with this during their installation, for some reason, but it has never seriously confounded me.  I.e. I never intervened to make it function correctly.  At that, it has been little more than an amusing glitch when I see it, but it is conceivable that it has been much more serious for others.  Why?  I don't know.

Is there some substitution which fails to occur for some situations?  I would suppose so because a
Code: [Select]
grep --recursive \/this *shows me many, many occurances, and I would expect that PS wouldn't work at all if /this wasn't being substituted most of the time.
