The thing about PS time is that it flies faster than normal time. And we all know how fast normal time flies.

Here\'s an example. It\'s evening and you\'re about to depart for Levrus while your friend searches Ojaveda road. You could say something like, \"I\'ll meet you tomorrow morning by the fountain in the plaza at 8 hours past,\" etc. Then you\'d meet the next day (PS time) and all would be well. :)

Right, right. It\'s all a different mindset to today\'s modern instant-communication world. Nice challenging RP.

Can\'t wait for the next one!

Hello :) First off, I wanted to say that it was a great initiative to start an RM team and that you\'ve done a great job so far! Hopefully more good RP:ers will join your team and make PS even more fun to play.

What I am wondering though is how you gather people for these events. Since it\'s called an RP event there should be an RP reason to why people who maybe have never met before, decide to come together and do a quest. I was at the magic shop when Cha0s gathered people for the Alchemist quest, but decided not to join in when it turned out that Cha0s would not reveal what kind of potion he planned to create. Even though RL me would have loved to do the quest, my ingame character Sengus does not tend to help people if he doesn\'t know what the consequences might be.
Sengus does not know Cha0s and has no knowledge in alchemy, so he couldn\'t possibly know if the potion would be used for good or for evil. Maybe it was a cure for a disease or a poison that he planned to pour into a well...

So question is: Do the people who participate in these events give up their characters just to get a reward, or do they keep RP:ing them like they always have? (If this comes out as criticism, know that it is not meant like it) ;)

The people who participated in this event for example. Was it a group of friends IC or just a group of OOC people who signed up for the event at the right time?

Keep up the good work! Hopefully I\'ll be able to participate in an event soon ;)

For now, our goal is to bring together roleplayers as best as we can; this is due to time constraints and the current in-game mentality: players just aren\'t interested in going around in groups much, mostly because there is no need to. Hopefully, more normal quests will require groups of players to complete. RMs can then hijack these groups for their own uses. :)

Event though the game may not be there yet, we plan to try, nonetheless to not announce minor events. We\'re concocting a bigger event which should use a few of these spontaneous events... keep your heads up over the next few weeks as the plot starts to unfold. ;)

I would also ask that events be posted on the forum board. Or perhapes a signboard could be placed in-game at the plaza. It wouldn\'t have to give the exact time of the event, or even what it is, but perhapes it could just give hints about it coming up and happening on such&such day.

Another question. What time do these events generally take place real time? Because I have this sinking feeling that I\'m never around at those times.

Only major events will be announced from now on. IRC will primarily be for discussion and player QA. These events occur at all sorts of times. They will occur more often as RMs are added to the team. :)

For now it is difficult to do the hardcore roleplaying described above. Once events become more common (and players: Please do start talking about events in the Tavern) this should not be a problem.

One thing which makes it hard to have groups in PS is the lack of specialisation. The current system means that people become first good warriors and then good mages. That means that groups are less required. Hopefully this will change by specialisation being based on RPing rather than skills (i.e Thinker, Strategist, Most Powerful warrior, Spellcaster Supporter, Streetwise guy, etc).
