Krook Betifale hobbles slow between the three trees he planted himself many years ago over his hidden house dug into the side of the hill. He looks down on the face far in the distance, though it is just a blur to him now. The hidden door swings open silently as he presses the secret catches. Closing the door behind him, he puts the last two firelogs on his fire and sits in the chair he crafted with his own two hands. He takes something off the small endtable and looks at it for a long time. So long, in fact, that he falls into sleep with it still in his grip. Sometime in the night, the object falls to the floor with a loud thump. It is the only noise in the completely silent room. The fire slowly goes out, taking the last of the light from the picture resting on the floor under the old dwarve's hand. The picture of a young, beautiful Fenki holding a little baby in her arms.
