Could something like the Crystal Hunt be a recurring event?

Well, more importantly, would it be possible that the Crystal is more organic (not organochemistry–wise, but biophysical–wise) than previously believed?
Every now and again, it emits shards of crystals which fall to the ground, like mana from the heavens for our hungry kran.

Of course, such a thing would've been dangerous for the Lemur folk.  So, maybe the crystals grow out from the ground, rather?

The important thing is that the world be fully realized in such a way that facilitates recurring activities like fractal embellishment.  World Design 211.

Well, if it were a rain of crystals gemmated from the Azure Sun, then it would be a more discrete occurance.  I.e. Talad (the god) would probably want some control over the timing for cosmogenic purposes.

If the crystals were simply mineralizing up from below, then that should be simple enough to automate — if it fit with the world mechanics, of course.
In that case, comparison to Crystal Hunt was a mistake:  it would be something more like harvesting herbs.

Ah ok. I see now. It's possible the GMs could do events like that.
