More butchery!
« on: September 26, 2018, 06:13:12 pm »
I was referring to the butchering of more–or–less humanely slain beasts for their bodily organs.  What did you think I meant?

Anyway, I've never seen a Jade Clacker — for example — from whom I could recover Clacker Meat.  If only the meat from the common brown Clacker is edible or whatever, then there ought be more of them in places where the other Clackers can be seen.

My wish is not only concerning Jade Clackers, of course, but the loot from all wild animals.  Drop tables should be devised for the species, not the skill required to defeat them — PlaneShift isn't a faux RPG like WOW.
You can vary the probabilities of recovering body parts by the manner through which it was slain, but you shouldn't do so in a way which anticipates the purpose for killing and looting it.

Is there a reason for why tougher Clackers don't drop meat as often, or at all?
